It is better to heat on flame or on hot plate before Furnace to avoid this.

There will be no issue operationally, however it depends on the nature of material which is placed in it. Is it should be under observation or not, is it can't be dangerous for furnace like may take flame 🔥. It is recommended to operate the instruments under your observation.
