Bottlenecks are a well known phenomenon in production lines, knowing how to identify a bottleneck will help you improve material flow and achieve better throughput.
In this video, we give a few example of things that may cause bottlenecks on the line. It doesn't aim to be an exhaustive list but illustrates some assembly line bottlenecks using a factory flow simulator.
Factory flow simulation can help detect bottlenecks during the design phase of production lines, thus anticipate them and making sure the production system will be able to meet its requirements.
