While working on The Warning's Keep Me Fed album with producer Anton DeLost, who also worked on Dead Poet Society's Fission, the sisters heard "Hurt" and immediately fell in love with it. They became fans from that moment on. Later, at Shiprocked, the two bands crossed paths, and Pau was seen singing along to "Hurt" on social media, catching Dead Poet Society's attention.
The day before Aftershock, Jack Underkofler, Dead Poet Society's lead singer, reached out via Instagram to see if anyone from The Warning wanted to join them for "Hurt" live. Pau jumped at the chance, and their performance together created a truly special moment.
This live collaboration sparked the idea for a new studio version of "Hurt," featuring vocals from both bands: Jack, Pau, and Dany on lead vocals, Dany, Pau, and Ale on backing vocals, and Dead Poet Society performing the original instrumentals.
