Thanks for your comment. You are referencing me. I watched both games. Their line play was not great in that game and the the averaged 3.3 yards per carry against them. They also only averaged 3.4 ypc against LIU. I was not impressed. That's where I was coming from. Additionally, based on our line play and LB's I like our chances at shutting down their running game unless they are able to space us out with short passing. @@theknighted1s well I think about Tommy having to take the back seat to JRP when he came in. And even Mikey lost it to a transfer. Idk I feel like we rely a little too heavy on filling the spot. I would take a 'down' year with a QB learning and developing with the system over a senior transfer marry-go-round every year.

This may be a hot take by me (KB) but I never thought MK could be the guy for us. TC said he was coming back even if he burned his RS (dumb in my opinion). Then when the coach left BC he was all set to come back to us and BC came to the table with a very large bag. TC is on the smaller side and I hope he holds up, but as JRP etc proved we don't do well with QB's. Even with development a lot of the QB's we haven't had the same starter finish a season since KZ was injured. I think its a two way street. The QB's have the choice too. MK knew he was never going to fit the system and would never be the starter no matter how long he stuck around. I don't blame the Gator Slayer. Thank you for continuing the conversation!

Thank you for doing that! I am the same way. I stand and yell when we are on defense as do my kids! I am hoping we round into form by Big12 play! It does make a difference!

I noticed it last night when it dropped. Our producer Nobrah fixed it this morning. He had spliced it but forgot to remove the splice before posting. It happens to the best of us :) and I missed up the initial intro. Good catch!

Hey Greg! Thanks for listening and commenting. I agree and I think its also in his nature. He may have been getting frustrated as well. We were also practicing QB Power quite a bit so I hope he got his fill and is only using it sparingly. JRP's first season used to drive me nuts with unnecessary risks! Hoping he finds his groove this weekend!

I think we all said he would get run, question is how much and when. The big question that will be answered early is he ready for the college game right away. It is different and he hasn't been on campus to play with the team. With Seller's, Johnson....et al. If he does take off this year it will be a huge positive of us. That is a great question. Do you mean for good or progressively through the season? There is a lot of rust to knock off. DJ finally hit his stride toward the end of the season and Mikey hasn't played in a year. I think Mikey sits until he gets his sea legs under him. Might have to bring that up to the squad this week.

​@theknighted1s Yes it definitely rained during the game. Like I said, it was very light and didn't last long. I think because everyone was expecting heavy rain that soon as it started and we were up 28 points I saw a lot of people pack up and leave. This is my first time listening and compared to all the other podcasts I've heard this week on the subject y'all did the best job covering everything!

100% True. If you don't get the right foot placement you can't drive through the tackle (especially against larger opponents) and you limit your ability to adapt to changes in direction. As long as you have plenty of wrinkles for the base offense that is true. It also gives you time to check at the line and doesn't allow the defense to adjust. That is a big part of spread/air raid offenses. It does take a little longer to get the ball out once the play starts though, because the qb doesn't know the route that the receiver is going to execute on. K-state gamed the subs by limiting our time to check down and running the clock down, which they wanted to do. They wanted to limit our plays and they did so with great effectiveness.
