We wanted a shelf on the front of our smoker to make it easier to transfer food to the grill so we made this butcherblock or cutting board style shelf from Padauk, Wenge and Maple. Learned some things along the way and we thought it would make for a good DIY step by step video for those that may want to give it a try. Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.

Building and Installing Cabinets Part 1
มุมมอง 4674 ปีที่แล้ว
Just moved into a new house and there was no storage in an already small laundry room so I decided to build my own cabinets and create a step by step video to help others that might be new to woodworking. I tried to match the cabinetry that already existed throughout the home. Given the size of the project, I split this into 2 parts...part 1 is constructing the cabinets and part 2 is staining, ...

Corner Xmas village
I made similar with WoodPrix instructions :)
Do you sell the items you make
What projector do you use?
The DOG waiting with his orange ball 😂
Yes, she was our sweet girl. Unfortunately, she passed over the summer. She will be deeply missed.
@ awe I’m so sorry 😢
What about water damage? How do you protect them?
That is covered at the 4:39 mark in the video. It's sealed with a clear finish.
... polyurethane... Nope. That's a thin film finish and will peel. Made that mistake when I made my first outdoor project.
Perfect tutorial!
I really like this video, I made some yard art too , how do you light them? I use solar landscaping lights. I have I provide a stand up support for indoor display and support for outdoor. been asked if I would sell mine but not sure what to ask, any ideas here?
Yes, we use solar lights as well. Haven't found any that do a great job, the Grinch requires 2 to light up the entire thing. But at least they are automatic and don't have to worry about turning on and off.
Great job
Simple and direct! Awesome! Thanks!
The snowman is so cute. Marvelous job. Where do you get your patterns? Thank you.
Very well done DIY video,
Awesome video!! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
Your black tool has magnets in the handle to lift the blade cover and blade out.
What brand are your gloves? Are they Kevlar?
My paints which are acrylic paint bought from hobby lobby they have streaks in them while i am painting & after it is dry. Any pointers on what I might be doing wrong ? Wrong Brushes, wrong paints ? Thank you for your step by step video its been a huge help :)
Thank you for sharing! Which projector do you use?
Great video. What size template bit did you end up using. Also was your final frame 1x2? 3/4x 1-1/2")? Thanks.
Thank you so much for this thorough and well explained video! Xo
Thanks for watching. I'm her husband and help manage the channel.
Nice and enjoyable presentation
Why not use the magnet that is on the T handle tool that came with the planer...
You guys are awesome. Explanations were clear and precise. Thank you!
What kind of projector is needed or.can you let.me how to do that on the bored please?
Thank you for the video, this is awesome. I want to make one for us.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks for watching.
What projector did you use?
Love this - going to give it a go - thanks for the demo.
Thank you! I appreciate the helpful and quick video. I bought a 734 and didn’t think it was time to change the blades quite yet until it started fighting me on some oak 1x. Thx for the quick and easy tip since I tossed my instructions after purchasing!
Thank you!
Thanks so much for the great video! This was awesome !
sad cost of wood is so high now
the dog in the background made that one scene
This was super helpful! I have always wanted to do this. I will now. You made it look a lot less difficult that I thought. I subscribed. I'm so glad I found you. Can you tell me what projector you used and what type of wood is best?
I wish you had shown your projector and how you transferred that image to the wall.
It’s a box with a cutout, a light source, and the image on a clear sheet.
Can you tell me what type of saw you are using? Those look wonderful and I want to try one.
What wood are you using, theres so many options to choose from?
1/2" Sanded plywood is what most people use
Is it treated or untreated
I would VERY MUCH like to know the brand of your projector. I have had terrible luck finding one that will actually work and am getting a bit desperate. Thanks in advance.
JessEM is the best! They also own incra master lift sold at rockler my favorites...
Nice job! Would you still recommend 2 layers of tape around the edge or would you go with one if you were to do it again?
Thanks
You dog in the background with the ball is so beautiful , thank you for sharing am going to try this 🇬🇧
Sadly, we lost her a couple of months ago. She was an awesome dog and really missed.
How would you ship something like this
Where do you get your image for the projector please
I am so happy you made this video. What projector did you use on your phone.?? Please... do you have an Apple or Android?
I like this concept. I see you have not posted anything new in a year but I subscribed in hope of a future post.
Thanks. More projects coming. Just had some things that kept us out of the shop for a while. But yes, we have a lot of things we want to build and some improvements around the shop that we need to make and those will all be upcoming videos.
Thank you! This was so helpful!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
what projector are you using?
It was a pico projector purchased off Amazon. But any projector will do...you don't need anything special.
Do you use flat, satin, simi gloss or gloss paints ❤love the video
