God i hate it that Nick gets all indignant when people make fun of him despite the fact that he puts himself out there to be ridiculed by being a pompous asshole.

Why is it that Nicholas always admonishes others for 'rubbing it in' when they make challenges when Nicholas frequently rubs it in by saying 'they also did this and deviated and etc.'

I doubt Peter wanted the subject, but lord i hate when Nicholas tries to signal prople to press their buzzer, or he touches their hand or grabs their buzzer and presses it to get them tp challenge

Its so fun actuslly seeing the reactions of the people, cuz on audio your mind does most of the wprk for you.

21:21. What bugs me is why Nick didnt do what he jormally does by saying colloquially speaking people refer to.mold as.a fungus. Since.he already excuses.all other kinds of.nonsense with nonexistent colloquialisms.

Nicholas also talls about waiting for amlaugh that never comes despite the fact that the audience were.laughing when.John was speaking.

I remember hearing audio versions of these tv episodes, and seeing the actual video is quite another thing cuz i never knew what most.of these.people looked like.

50:30 while tony's comment and his eventual contribution is humorous and clever, i think Wendy was trying to say that someone got thr mop and bucket for her and Wendy still cleaned up the mess, not that someone else cleaned up the mess for her.

44:21, Andree was speaking quite clearly on small bikinis, not small girls, but the only reason it qas taken from her was because Nick wanted Clement to speak on 'My Bikini' and see how hilarious it could be.

43:06, this is another problem i have with Nick. He announces aa subject called 'The Time I Forgot Myself in Public' which is meant for Kenneth, the audience clearly react because they know Kenneth's behavior based on gis appearances on the program, and Nick admonishes the audience and acts like he has no idea why they would have such wicked thoughts about Kenneth. The pomposity of this guy is truly sickening

1:58:14 we seem to be approaching a point where Andree's importance and ability to be heard on the show is fading cuz it seems.nothing she says or does is allowed anymore to make a difference. And the episode itself doesnt seem to be terribly funny anyway and at one point old Nick tells peter to be quiet.

Somethibg else i hate is how Nicholas makes these stupid puns in relation to the challenges people make and how pompous and arrogant, condescending and patronizing he is

To anyone that tries to say that Nick has a thick skin shoukd listen to the various times he explodes with disbelief at thr insults hurled at him, as if to say he doesnt deserve it when he clesrly does, and even thr way he says 'i wouldve given ir against you anyway' just to stop thr insults and to get payback, like the corrupt and biased and unfair chairman he actually was

Theyre all very close and theyre all very much behind....... This what always annoys me about Nick, how he makes a complete dogs dinner of the english language, doesnt make any sense, and yet acts as though everything he says is the most sensible and logical thing in the world.

Is it just me or does Nick sound terribly bored? He has more of a monotone to his voice than Clement, he sounds like hes on auto pilot.

Jean didnt beat thr chaps, but thats to be expected. Why? Cuz shes a woman? Or cuz shes less experienced?

Nicholas: you are on your own Jean. As it should be. What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Ah, the series at its best, informative, unpredictable and thoroughly enjoyable. The bum on my thuzzer, gets me every time!

Please keep posting. A wonderfull part of my childhood. I am so pleased to relive those lovely memories by the radio . From an Aussie whose upbringing was positively influenced by the Beeb

'When the little chair fells down' thats pendantic!? Derek stumbled, was chsllenged correctly.and Sheila.is admonished for being pendantic but then is told.he wouldve upheld a challnege that derek.doesnt read fairytales to himself? This from the man that says, 'its possible thisz its possible that' he will make excuse after excuse that such and such sutuation is ppssible, but then turns around and says he wpuldve upheld a.challenge because he doesnt believe it.

Some of the episodes here provode some interedting dynamics. Cuz Kenneth wasnt in every episode. Series 8 wpuld be the only time this would happen since Kenneth joined the cast, he would remain a part of the series.all the way until his death.

Series 8, the net is cast a little wider this season, David Jacobs, Jean Marsh, Ian Carmichael, Warren Mitchell, all wonderful people

The stuff with Aimi is fantastic. They dont call her Lovely for nothing.

It always sticks in my craw that it always seems that of all the original foursome, its Peter that gets treated the worst by Nick in terms of being patronized and condescended to. Sure, Peter never took himself seriously, but Nick always seemed to be thr most denigrating to Peter.

Nicholas never knows when to shut the hell up, he over explains everything to the point of utter tedium and annoyance
