Most people wouldn't want to watch for over 24 hours.....lol
I agree. It seems to be an increasing habit on YT, to show things speeded up. And you don't have to show 24 hours of activity, you can just show the important steps, can't you? And if something is slow and difficult it's interesting to see it being done and the high level of skill and concentration that it demands.

The sad part is the many USA suppliers are just resellers of these Chinese companies, they pay $1,500.00 and they sell them for 4 times the money. Do we blame China or we blame does that they profit buying from them and reselling their products with huge profit margins? If you want those doors go and buy it yourself directly.

After the owner stacks hundreds of books on the shelves, there will be one book with an empty inside where he stacks his Titanic family jewels. The secret cabinet is where he puts fake family jewels as decoys for dumb thieves.

Can the door come off just as easily as a pinned hinge door? It'd be nice to use the whole 6ft every now and then. I know some high end pool tables they don't want you to tilt it at all it should remain pretty level it's whole life.
What type of wood did you use? I’m looking to do something similar in my house.

Beautiful library shelves. (I wish I had such high ceilings) I would also be interested in plans if you made them available, particularly for he modular sections. I didn't see how the shelves themselves were attached, did you use dados?
Although I love where I live, I would move in an instant if I could have a room like this! Amazing work! Real craftmanship! I love how the colour matches the floor so well. This is a "work of art"!!

The type of hinge system would be awesome if you know it
Tri Nguyen the hinge (or rather pivot) is made by a company called Dorma. They have several options.

A lot of the width seems to be wasted by the pivot point
Jeremy Harris. There is still over 40 inches of room, more than enough space to move in even the largest of furniture and for sure more width than most homes. sometimes a dramatic statement is the most important consideration in a particular design.
