i think highspeed battle's hook and rhythm stand toe-to-toe with much of shimamura's final boss work in the series. severely slept-on track to be honest. the drums rock and that repeating string sting is classic jrpg. i think, despite being short, it fills that shimamura-final-boss-theme role in my heart, which gives reclusa space to do his own thing... which i'm sure he'd appreciate

This is my 6-star Tera Raid music in Pokémon Violet

The final boss of this game really is like all those Mario & Luigi vs. Sephiroth memes, only if the duo were fighting Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy VI instead. Really love the third phase theme in particular!

Underwhelming? Well yea, I should think a world of complete solitude would be rather quiet no? This battle is Mario and Luigi fighting back against an otherwise silent world that would be devoid of the chatter between friends, laughter between family etc, this is, potentially, the last bit of sound this world would hear in this final clash lest it all fade to the silence of solitude, and quite frankly in these final moments reclusa is all but winning, the entire tonal shift in the usual bustling music that represent the people of Concordia and Mario and Luigi themselves to the quiet and unsettling music once Reclusa releases all those weird VR headset flowers forcing everyone into solitude I think is perfectly reflected in these boss themes. The themes toward the end start to play more into Reclusa’s newfound hatred for the bros and quite frankly simply desperation, the final themes and especially the last one simply just being a speed up with extra steps, really play into how desperate Reclusa is in this moment because well, no one expects the Luigi inquisition. TLDR Good themes, can’t wait for more Mario and Luigi games by these new guys.

i mean. eh? after 0:15 this stops feeling like a boss battle and just a generic battle theme

TLDR of my experience at the end. Phase 1 had me so intimidated just seeing four Doom Flowers sprouted up capturing Snoutlet. I figured I wasn't gonna get through it on the first try, since I barely ever do with these games. It did take me a few times, but getting to the Weeping Core was super satisfying. Funny thing, this whole final battle reminded me a lot of Astral Chain, especially the fight with the Core and how it was just a prelude to the REAL show. Phases 2 had my blood pumping, between the music and the fight itself. I already knew I was going to enjoy it, simply off principle of these games having peak final boss music. When phase 3 kicked in, I felt like things just got real. I was losing my mind when he kept turning Luigi into stone, because that would either cause Mario to lose a ton of health or die outright because of the delayed dodge response. TLDR: Sick track for a sick game. 10/10, would send Reclusa back to the electronics store again.

idk why, but this gives me some major persona vibes which is absolutely a great thing, it's funky as hell and very uplifting just missing some kinda corny (but stil badass) rapping on top and there you have the persona 6 battle theme lol
