Doesn’t help when the socket is stuck in the hole.
I love you sir
I've been stuck with the last spark plug for days. I have been tightening it only to pull out the extension without the spark plug socket. I did this dance many times until I saw this. Thanks. You saved my sanity and money because I was ready to buy something to fix this.
Thank you
Thank you I knew but did not know
Good review. Ive had my 16" Tough Built bag about a year. Love the tech clip. I also have the bag on wheels. Any idea of the weight of your bag when loaded with tools?? Tks, Randy. 80 year old DIY from Okla. 😃
If your socket is already stuck, maybe you could get a stiff wire such as a clothes hanger and with pliers make a small hook that fits inside the square opening and pull out the socket.
Thanks for the review, been looking at this line of toolbox
Aw dude try a v6 Chevy s10… my socket is stuck down there sideways… can’t get it from top or bottom that easy… fml🤦♂️
Thank you for the weather update???? The socket is stuck in the engine how to get it out?????? that's the question.... I can't tape it while its in there....
U just might be a genius
This man deserves a Nobel peace prize. It took me 15 minutes to replace the last 2 plugs after taking at least 90 minutes to miraculously replace the first two due to socket staying stuck to spark plug. If you're using more than 1 extension. Tape them together also.
To be fair I wouldn’t have thought about tape. I’m just about to change my plugs on my Audi A4 ( they are mega deep) wish me luck lol
Thanks that worked
I agree, Knipex quality is worth the money! Keep up the great videos!
I set my 4 footer up behind the tailgate to get in and out of the bed. Why fight it? No sense in straining myself.
I was in the same position. Skips, lost, broken. I like how Tektons are no skip and you can select impact, 6 or 12 point chrome. And they stand behind their stuff.
Nice Thanks for sharing
good thinkin 👍🏽
Totally different things. This is about as basic as it gets. If you can’t understand these then give up on trying to do anything practical.
Son a gun, it worked!
I bought this set in 2020 for $120 I love this set been beating on it since then haven’t broke a socket and the ratchet has been holding up well also.
Believe if you hold the Off button down for a moment you have quick shut off option
Thank you, I always wondered the difference and that was concise and to the point.
I have an earlier generation Wagner heat gun (probably equivalent to the Furno 300), which has worked well for several years (with no deterioration in function or form). Can recommend.
Full of bs
Telescopic magnet works too.
Very common sense set up for lugging around the house. All the basics covered.
Great video, thank you
Wish I would have saw this before my socket got stuck😅
Nice picks. Many of the same pieces in mine. A few ideas to lighten yours up & increase function. * Allen bits with a stubby ratchet driver. Allens are rare except on socket cap screws and stubby ratchet is far superior to allen key sets for that in 95% of cases while a dozen hex bits are far lighter than a full metric/standard allen key set. Stubby ratchet driver also gives me all the hand screwdriving I need using the same bits as my impact (i use a dewalt slim locking extension if i need extra length and a U-joint adapter for getting into awkward spots). I prefer to hand drive in some situations to avoid any chance of overdriving or stripping and I find a stubby works better for this than typical drivers. Shorter length reduces cam out on phillips. * I prefer the stubby driver + hex drive to 1/4" square drive adapter and a half dozen of the most common sockets over a dedicated socket setup. Again this can be used in the impact or ratcheting hand stubby driver. * Painters multitool. Scraper, persuader, hook, prytool, crack clearer, etc. Excellent tool, I carry one and a stainless Titan right-angle prybar for certain jobs that need 2 prytools or a right-angle to slip behind something. I used to carry a demo prybar like that and a few different putty knives and scrapers, but these two have replaced all of those. * Dental pick double ended. Any time I work with gaskets, small springs, carburetors, or need to clean narrow areas, this is invaluable. * 2" plastic spring clamp. Obvious reasons. I find 2" jaw opening enough for most things, but sometimes I grab a 4" or quicklocking bar clamp. * 45deg hemostat locking hemostat forceps. Very useful when dealing with rubber/plastic tubing or wire. * Milwaukee 7-in-1 electricians pliers. Handles all household wirestripping, cutting, bending, pulling, and crimping. Plus a few wire nuts and crimp connectors. * Spring punch set. These are incredibly useful for driving nails/pins & punching pilot hole starts. Can serve most of the functions of a hammer and in tighter spaces a hammer cannot reach. You wouldn't want to nail dozens or hundreds of nails with it, but a couple taps with the back of my nail puller to start the nail, then a strike or two with the spring punch drives a nail perfectly. I used to carry a small hammer, but do not anymore and never miss it, spring punch with flat end works great, even better in many cases. They're also far lighter and way less bulk Used to carry m18 impact, but switched to the gen2 m12 impact about 2 years ago. While I wouldn't used it to drive a hundred screws rapidfire (would use m18 for that), it has way more than the necessary amount of power to drive the typical 2" to 3.5" deck screws I mostly use and weighs far less than the m18 & less bulk. I've never found I needed to carry an extra battery for around the house. I use mine almost every day and only charge it maybe once week. If I'm doing a major build project I go for the m18 and cycle 2 batteries like normal. I like to carry a Kreg drillblock, laser measure, 3/8 countersink bit, impact driver drillbits which gives me all the function of a drill (for wood or plastic) with little bulk/weight. I find a sweat band/bandana and a headlamp absolutely invaluable to the point of keeping a headlamp in my bag at all times. Sweatband/bandana probably less useful in some climates, but if you wear glasses it's absolutely required if it's above 70F and 70% humidity IMO. I keep a couple in my bag.
Nifty set up you got. It's always nice to see people's passions.
This doesn't tell you how to get the socket out when it's stuck. It only tells you what to do in advance to having the problem. This vid doesn't address the title of the video.
You could try just loosening it off and redoing it, that’s what worked for me
It does. You back the spark plug back out, tape the tool up good, reset the spark plug, and you're home free.
Thank you. Saved me a lot of headache
👍
Have you tried a painters multi tool? I found that it replaced a lot of my smaller prybar/scrapper type tools.
What size is this bag?
Nice set up. Thanks for sharing.
Thinking about getting this set right now. I've had the craftsman plastic box set thats right around this price and i hated carrying it or moving it since it was all plastic and would fall apart. Only thing i see i might not like on the tekton is those plastic clasps to hold the box shut but i havent seen any complaints and I'd just buy the twist lock rails they sell.
That was very nice thanks😊
This was exactly what happened to me except I was using brand new Pittsburgh socket and extension from Harbor Freight. Helped me in a pinch.
You can buy these at Lowes
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
jesus fkn christ everyone is making videos not telling us where to get it put a link thanks for the video
Lowes
Lowes, Amazon, Klein website…..
Captain obvious is necessary when common sense is not so common.
One could build anything out of duct tape if they put their mind to it. ❤
Great design and it is battery operated and can save alot of time and can finish job quicker
I hated the case, i never closes propperly
Great choice mate. Batteries last to almost 10K shots and gas will last at least 2 years, check bottom of gas to see the expiry date and add 3/4months extra guaranteed. Best gun in its class. Regarding nails you can use Dewalt 16g but you’ll need to purchase gas separately. If you plan on using different nails just buy Dewalt nails and use the Paslode gas. Maintenance is easy follow the user manual provided 4 head bolts and just remove circlip , pull out drive pin spray the chamber with cleaner let dry and and add 6-10 drops of oil, the clean fan head and spray and then oil. All in about 25 mins.
Diy. how’s life?~ super, beautiful channel.
Does yours have a lot of play in it? Mine only locks in the last slit with all the sockets on it & it wiggles a lot and that last socket just slides back & forth too much, was wondering if it was just mine
