This will allow the product to travel through the anti-bacterial system and one-way valve that ensure sterile delivery of each drop. Then make a fist, holding the bottle between your thumb and forefinger. Squeeze until you see a drop form on the tip, and then hold over your eye to allow the drop to fall. This will make the bottle easier to squeeze for you. If any residual solution remains on the bottle after use, simply flick it off with a brisk motion and close the cap tightly.

While the head of the treatment device does heat up a little bit, it is not a temperature-mediated treatment and works instead using pulsed light. Obviously it would take more than just 1 drop if I was lacking the lipid layer because of MGD for the past month or two?

After a few hours, the effects will wear off as the drops are washed out from the eye, at which point you would need to apply them again. I-DROP VET PLUS is a preserved drop that is recommended for more mild cases of dry eyes and shorter periods of use, such as seasonal dry eye. I-DROP VET GEL is preservative-free and can be used in all cases of dry eyes, but it is especially effective for moderate to severe cases. Both I-DROP VET PLUS and I-DROP VET GEL contain hyaluronic acid (HA) and glycerin, ingredients with viscoadaptive properties that enable excellent coating and recoating of the surface of the eye. This means the drops mimic healthy tear film viscosity while blinking to provide the longest-lasting relief. GenTeal drops are not preservative-free and have different active ingredients. They are not HA-based, but they do include glycerin as well as dextran and hypromellose. We would recommend speaking to your vet about your cat's specific needs. There is also no need to wait when switching to another lubricating drop!
