No effects outside eq on some tracks as far as i remember. What i did is i brought everything down to the same key and bpm, listened for sections that flow into eachother nicely and made a track selection based on that. Its all in C major/A minor. For flim i also used a high pass filter though, to slowly bring in the drums. So yeah technically i did use an eq, but no reverb

I suppose it's called djing. No criticism there. Good on you for pitching the changes just at that level of creative djing but not messing so much it's actually a remix. Interesting territory to explore. You could call it dmix or something - half way between the two.

I can't decide if it brings it alive because it mellows some of the edges of his work or because it renews it. I've been listening to him too much and haven't bothered much since almost twenty years ago prefering to explore plaid boards autechre early catalogue more. But this brings it back alive. Really nice.

Eh its fine, if people like it the algorithm will pick it out eventually, also went like that with the first mix i put up. Im not really looking for max views anyway, i just wanna share some stuff with like-minded people

yeah honestly hearing it again MEO5 also feels part of that same track, they're just different sections i think. in the excel file they're separated into different "tracks" like that, but i'd also say it's just 1 longer one. i"ll just keep it this way cause it doesn't really matter i think

@@redorchidee1372 Haha I only noticed it after about the 5th listen lol, it's a total switch up that only RDJ could make work. Agreed MEO5 might even be the same track.

Ok nice, higher the quality the better, cause often a lot of the textural detail gets lost in recordings like these and that's one of the main elements of afxs music I'd say. Only the mostly melodic ones still have the same potency I feel like, a lot of the other ones just sound like noise a lot of the time, sadly. There is another one of these unreleased live track compilations from a couple years back, and I find those to be more enjoyable personally, mostly because a lot of it is more melodic so you get the atmosphere, but not necessarily the texture.

i must've glossed over it at the time, cause it is in that spreadsheet and i just reused the first part of this. well good to know in any case, it's a good track. it's nice when it becomes a bit more of a community thing anyways, it's a bit much for a single person to go through. i'll put it in the description
