Halloween in Thailand 🎃
Subscribe 🔔 🌴 🎃
Last week, I was in Taipei before coming back to Thailand and was surprised by all the Halloween decorations! I didn’t know Halloween was so popular on this side of the world. When I first came to Chiang Mai in 2016, I saw a few costumes here and there, but now it’s everywhere. It's nice to see the holiday spirit growing-it brought us a little closer to home.
Thank you, as always, for watching. See you in the next video!

Taipei, an Underrated Gem

I stayed five nights in Taipei and was pleasantly surprised. The city is safe, clean, and the people were welcoming. It's a five-hour direct flight from Chiang Mai, which made it convenient, as I needed to renew my Thai tourist visa by leaving and re-entering. The cost of living is reasonable, and Taipei ranks among the safest cities in the world. The mix of modern life and preserved culture, w...
Taipei - Window Shopping in Zhongshan District

Please Subscribe 🔔 💯. Left Chiang Mai, Thailand last minute when I realized my visa was about to expire. Had 5 days to sort things out and get to Taipei for a passport stamp to extend my stay in Thailand. Picked the Zhongshan District-looked nice, upscale. Needed a change from the grit of Chiang Mai. The hotel was cheap enough. Nice area, friendly people, clean city. Enjoyed some window shopping.
Thailand University - Music & Picnic

Please subscribe 🔔 Michelle and I had an evening picnic at Chiang Mai University. It is the most peaceful place close to where I live, accessible by an 8-minute ride. Michelle stopped at the Living Dream Cafe. Walkers strolled in the beautiful nature. At the top of the mountain, you can see the famous Doi Suthep Temple. We also got to listen to a sweet young student playing the guitar. It was a...

Please subscribe 🔔 In this video, I share my journey from 2016 to now, reflecting on the goals I've set for the future. Italy has always been a dream of mine-something like the "icing on the cake." I’ve trave...
Rice Terraces in Thailand

Please subscribe 🔔 🎯 Mon Chom Hill Tribe in Mae Rim was meant to be a peaceful trip to see the rice terraces. The journey turned into something else. I rented a 2005 Toyota Corolla and felt fine about it, until I reached the mountain roads. They were tight-tighter than any I’d driven in Thailand before. There were moments I thought, “This might be it.” But we made it. Michelle, her mom, and I r...
Tigers in Thailand

Please subscribe 🔔. Ok there are two parts to this video. One is a little bio on my love of tigers and my experience at the sanctuary AND the 2nd part is about what's going on to protect them. I've always wanted to pet a tiger, and in 2017, when I moved to Thailand, I finally got my chance. Recently, I had the opportunity to interact with baby cubs, midsize females, and large males. The cubs we...
Magical Loving Elephants in Northern Thailand

Please subscribe 🔔. Michelle, her mom, and I recently visited one of the tranquil elephant camps here in Chiang Mai. While these camps are often part of the tourism landscape, the one we visited stood out for its dedication to the well-being of the elephants. The elephants here have been with the same family for decades, lovingly cared for and respected. It was an honor to be in the presence of...

Please subscribe 🔔. Took an 1.5 tour of the Royal Park. It's rainy season here so it's cooled down a little bit. But still not enough. Took a motor bike to get here so the outdoor heat was killing by the time I was done. But with the quick trip.

Happy Halloween! You need to learn how to run in boots lol. Michelle was getting photo opps! Cool costumes! Do they trick or treat there?
I got the hang of wearing the boots at the end. haha!
I was here 10 years ago, amazing but scary being in with the big ones. I remember the whole time this voice in the back of my head telling me this animal can kill me right this second if it wants too and these guys will not be able to stop it
Exactly 😅same thought
@@michaelbassolinothe issue is these animals are enslaved. They are making monsy for their owners while not having freedom. We need to give them freedom.
@@ntl9974 Early life: A mother tiger teaches her cubs hunting skills starting when they are 8-10 months old. She stalks and kills prey while the cubs watch, and sometimes she won't kill the animal so the cubs can finish it. Family hunting: When the cubs are old enough, they hunt together with their family. Independence: Cubs stay with their mothers until they are about 18-24 months old and can hunt successfully. They reach full independence at 2-3 years old and disperse to find their own territory. If those tigers were released now, without having learned survival skills like hunting, they would _die_ in the wild. Clearly, from your willful ignorance, you hate humans more than you love animals.

Hallo bro im india panjab so sweet
Thank you for watching Panjab! 🙏🏻 ✌🏼💯
❤❤❤ interesting talk with a stroll through town
Thanks, I enjoyed the stroll. 💫 🥰
I can't believe tigers can be so cute.
Right...! 🥰
Very cool looking flowers 💐
Did you have to travel far?
Not too bad. 5 hours direct flight from Chiang Mai. Way better than connecting in Bangkok! It's an energy suck going through that airport. Glad Michelle and I chose it. Only a handful of flights go out from Chiang Mai, and this was the best one by far. We've been to a few other places like Vietnam, Hanoi, and Kunming, China, but loved this city the most. It's our top favorite now.
@@michaelbassolino I'm glad it wasn't too bad. That's so cool you got to see more.
@@Rickist yeah it was awesome. Favorite Asian country as of now )aside from Thailand of course 🌈
@@michaelbassolino love it 😍
This is so cool. You find the coolest places.
Super video. Really like how they drive over there, and the speed is not that excessive. Love the sights and cafe.
Thanks...it was defiantly a fun drive. Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching! 🛵 ☀️ 🎉
It's regular practice to drug the animals enough so tourists can take pictures. Sad 😢
Hi @traciewalker8506, sadly, it’s true that some places engage in unethical practices, such as drugging animals for tourism. I actually addressed this in the TH-cam description. When I got a bit too close to one of the female tigers, she let me know I was in her space-no signs of drugging there. It’s important to recognize that not all facilities operate in the same way. The sanctuary I visited seemed committed to balancing conservation efforts with ethical treatment, though it’s always good to ask questions and trust your gut instinct. I did a lot of research before visiting and felt comfortable with this place. That said, I completely understand the concerns surrounding animal tourism, as some places can be exploitative. It’s a fine line between conservation and profit, and I think it’s crucial to stay informed and ensure the animals are treated well. Thanks for your thoughts-it’s an important discussion to have!
That adult tigers looks like the one from the Junglebook, wouldn't want to do the wrong thing 😄
Right… every second I was I was like oh boy 😅 hope this doesn’t go wrong
The little tigger is best.

Yes, I had to get my passport renewed there. There was an American working there. Good luck the opportunity 🙌🏻
This is off subject but you had a video at the US consulate in Chiang Mai a few months ago. Can you tell me if Americans can go there and get a job at the consulate. I would love to get a job there and I know there's not many opportunities for foreigners
Yes, I had to get my passport renewed there. There was an American working there. Good luck the opportunity 🙌🏻
Is it possible for a US citizen to get a job there and with the pay based on American pay or local pay?
Yes, it's possible for U.S. citizens to work at the embassy. Pay can depend on the job-some are based on U.S. salaries, while others might be paid at local rates.
ยินดีต้อนรับสู้ประเทศไทยเที่ยวให้สนุกนะครับ
