I am a science fiction model builder that has been in and out of the hobby for 25+ years. I have recently dove in with many more resources than time, but I look forward to doing some great work after returning from a recent hiatus. Look for more frequent updates over the winter months!

Vallejo Metal Color Demonstration
มุมมอง 8K9 ปีที่แล้ว
I created this video with the TH-cam Video Editor (th-cam.com/users/editor) I didn't even know this existed. (I sure do miss iMovie)I could have had this up last night! Just a quick demo of the new Vallejo Metal Color line of paints. Airbrush ready and very well saturated.

Will you sell me your X-71 & MIR space station?
Shitty movie bt cool shuttles.
Hi. Did the shuttle get finished?
me ha dolido a mi ....
you only show the plane whole during the video. ı didn't understand which colors you used and where.
Independence and Freedom shuttle.
i just finished mine! th-cam.com/video/26H4tKAbDw4/w-d-xo.html
You should home Y before X, would save you from crashing into your BLTouch
I wish they made the second modified Robot that the older Will built later in the movie.
Very nice! I want to incorporate the Tamiya tracked vehicle chassis kit with dual motors into this kit.
do they have a metallic black?
They have a color called jet exhaust that is pretty close.
any updates? :)
I haven't posted an update, but we were able to get the mechanicals completed this week. We are moving on to the electronics next. My kid is going to get pretty tired of solder joints and shrink tube before this project is over!
I wish there was someone in Canada that I could connect with - I printed all the parts and want to get going on the rest! Looking good so far
it hasn't been unfortunately. not because of technical issues just because of time. We are hoping to get back on track this weekend as I am running out of capacity on my current rig and have an increasing project load. I know we'll be working out the kinks for at least a couple weeks at best once we are build complete.
how's the build going now?, just sourcing the parts for mine.
How can you align lead screw and z motor axis? I tried build guide method but heatbed dosent move smoothly!
It's starting to look great, can't wait for the next video
I would love for you to keep updating us on the build process, i'm currently working on this project also and would love to see how it comes out
I have the same stuff, but found when I spray it neat such as the aluminum, it comes out granny and did not get the sheen I was looking for. I found that I had to thin it 50/50 with Vallejo thinner, but you have to be careful spraying it as you might flood the area. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I was spray it at 15 to 20 PSI.
look at the lighting they have you can actually see shadows on the table.
+chase9922 The lighting there was absolute garbage. Worst I've ever seen
Exelent!.
Macro/closeup photos of this will certainly help show those details you are talking about not being able to see as well in the video, the washing out, etc. Otherwise, great video. :)
Great vídeo, thanks
It's scary
Recently subscribed. That is a lot bigger kit than I imagined. Fantastic looking build. The weathering looks great.
Watching this solved a problem I was having figuring out how to light my current project! Thanks!
Really nice space you have there
Very nice builds
Man those are fantastic! I need to start thinking of getting these two kits. So very cool
I'm going in different way with modeling bsg (i use paper model and manual changeing it with aluminium tape, putty and cardboard with paint into battlestar galactica from blood and chrome). But i like when people share with their hobby with internet. Good job!
Great stuff.
Thanks for all the encouraging words guys! I'll be sidetracked by the Iron Modeler project next week.
Now I have to go out and get a Galactica and Pegasus!! Great looking build so far.
Nice work on the BSG. Love that cut away Yamato! Might have to get one of those. Looking forward to watching your buildups.
Looking very nice. Enjoyed talking models with you on the hangout as well. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Sorry to hear about the setbacks, but I am glad you are moving forward on the Lost in Space Robot! It will be awesome!!
The Enterprises are 1:2500 scale. The TOS, A, and D are from the Enterprise flight display kit, and didn't have the updated decals that are in the more modern kits from Round2. I bought the C and E individually. There is a re-release kit from Round2 that has TOS, A, and B that I will be picking up since I don't have a B to finish the set. The Robot kit is nice and big. I also have the updated Jupiter 2 that I have built, but I have another copy to do a lighted kit.
What scale are the Enterprise kits? I've been toying with getting "The Robot" kit myself. I love the B-29. Such a cool aircraft
I'm hoping to see more of this build! I'm building a 350 version, but am oddly drawn to the 1:537. Nice work with the harness.
Nice to see your mods to the original harness worked out. :)
Glad your digging in to the lighting side of the hobby. Some trial and error are part of the learning curve. It's where we all started. Looking forward to your build.
Great looking shop!!
Nice shop. Looks like you've got a lot of projects in progress.
Nice workshop! Cool stash of models too. Looking forward to seeing your work progress over at SFMA.
