Yeah, at least they are trying, we'll just have to see if these efforts actually pay off.

I'll never say they didn't put a lot of work and effort in their dlcs, astral planes writing is just amazing. I just question the direction sometimes

I've also seen with their other games (notably hoi4) they are instituted a subscription service to basically "rent" The dlcs instead of full on purchasing them. Personally I'd prefer if the started putting the dlcs in discounted bundles for new players to get into them but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@Katiozi yea true. I have actually used the hoi4 sunscription maybe 5 times because I dont own any dlcs and play it rarely.

​​@@Katiozi That's literally what they did though? they introduced this with the starter bundle and now the Season 8 bundle. I think Subscriptions are generally a good idea because it gives newcomers the chance to play the game with all dlcs without having to buy all of them especially if they aren't committed with the game yet, all of this has been a positive for newcomers, I honestly find it confusing how people find this to be "bad" and "greedy" when it's the exact opposite, and something I've noticed is that the only people that seems to complain about this things just happen to be older players which is ironic considering this isn't even targeted towards them. (also I don't mean this as a jab on you btw)

@@luzekiel9343 yes subscription has been helpful for me. I don't have money to buy all the dlcs and it's not fun to buy one or two per year and not have access to them all for a long time. Subscription is overall positive.

And whats the Problem? You still can Buy the DLCs you still get them at Discounts.... However, like other Games with a lot of DLC, for example Games like The SIMS, Total War Warhammer or other Paradox Games.... It still cost a Ton to get all the Other DLC. So what exactly is Wrong with them Providing the DLCs in basicly a really small Bundle to Rent. Espacialy to A) Player who just now Start the Game and B) Player who dont got Friends/Buddys to play with them. Because on the + Side for a Paradox MP Game only 1 Player needs to posses all the DLC and everyone Benefits from it. Which means all their 4X Games, with a lot of DLCs already got a Revenue Option Cut, which other Games like SIMS, Total War or Civilisation can exploit ^^ I mean they dont take anything away from you, they dont Force you to use these Method, and they also try to Designe (i dont say that it works good but they try) at least for Stellaris, every DLC in a Way, that the Base Game without DLCs does not get "unplayable".

Isn’t one of Arthur’s greatest achievement (in the story at least) fighting and winning against the Anglo-Saxons at the battle of Mount badon? So the Anglo-Saxons would’ve been contemporary with Arthur’s supposed reign

@@monkelord7730 The time period King Arthur is supposed to have reigned slots in right after Rome pulled out of britain and right before the invasions-migrations of the Angles, Saxons and Jutes (who always get left off the acronym lol) to Britain. So, the victory at Mount Badon would have, in the story of Arthur at least, have delayed the creation of England until after his death, when the raiders could sweep in and mop up the tiny fractured kingdoms left behind.

They do happen quite often, but that'd why they are minor ones! They do cause absolute havoc tho. Maybe I need to play into the game later where I can actually build up plauge r resistance

I hope in the near future they will change that, maybe making them a dynasty modifier like ck2 bloodlines? I think the buildings are a neat addition though!

@@KatioziI wish there was a way to decide where said buildings were placed though, similar to creating a holy order. It’d be nice having the choice where something is built for rp purposes instead of simply hoping for the right holding to be picked. It’s small things like this that annoy me about this DLC. When it comes to the entire legends side of the DLC, there isn’t enough freedom for the player to make choices. If they put more effort into this DLC, small tweaks and changes, I think it’d be a better DLC.

Oh you bring up something I overlooked! I didn't even think about how royal Court and tours/tournaments make legitimacy "pay to win". I remember getting 50 legitimacy for every time you hold court, and I believe you get 50 points for every activity too. It makes the separate dlc features compliment eachother but makes it feel like you need the whole kit

It’s not pay to win at all. The most reliable way to get legitimacy is to do hunts and feasts, base game stuff.

​@@Katiozi feasts, hunts and pilgrimages give 20 each, while holding court, hosting a tourney or a wedding gives 50 legitimacy. holding court costs you nothing so it's one of the best ways to get legitimacy. the most legitimacy you can get is by completing legends, up to 600 in one go, but it'll take time and costs alot of gold for upkeep. again legitimacy gain isn't the worst thing in this patch, you can easily gain a bunch of legitimacy when u want, the problem is it invalidates alot of gameplay strategies for early game (specifically Eugenics, Bastard primogeniture) cause marrying into lowborns for traits will destroy your legitimacy, as well as having extramarital affairs if you want to force early primog. but my whole issue with this dlc is that legends in and of themselves are very boring and not interactive, they don't add anything to the gameplay experience

There is a LOT of good games for 20 dollars or less, Despite all its flaws I do like legends of the dead though. Plauges are fun and I still have hopes for the future of the game
