    Hi Chareè! (I hope you read my comment 🥺) I have dry skin. I use snail mucin serum & moisturizer. and I don’t know which one should I choose for daily toner that compatible with my skincare routine. If it’s possible, it’s compatible with retinol serum too. Can you please choose between the I am from rice toner and Nacific uyu toner? Thank you! 😊

    • @chareesbeauty
      @chareesbeauty 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! For dry skin, the Nacific toner has more ingredients that would be better suited for it and more nourishing. Both are compatible with retinol serums as they are soothing toners. I would switch out the snail moisturiser (if you’re using the COSRX one) with a thicker moisturiser with more occlusive ingredients as it may not be moisturising enough. Depending on your preference for texture, the Goodal Vegan Rice Milk Moisturiser or Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Cream are both great options :)

    regarding the authentic ego serum it has lactic acid right? can it be layered with tretinoin?

    • @chareesbeauty
      @chareesbeauty หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it contains lactic acid; however, it is not in a high enough concentration to be considered performing as a chemical exfoliant. It's used as a pH adjuster, so you don't have to worry about it interfering with other actives (e.g. tretinoin) in your skincare routine. I'd recommend using this serum in the morning and tretinoin in the evening :)

      @@chareesbeauty i’ve been using vanicream THD. done with 4 tubes but i didn’t notice any effects. can you please update us after 2 months or 3months of use of this authentic ego.

    • @chareesbeauty
      @chareesbeauty หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@florencesolis9636 I’m sorry to hear that the Vanicream serum didn’t work for you! I haven’t personally tried it. I started using the Authentic Ego serum approximately 2.5 months ago and am currently on my second bottle. So far, I’ve found it to be a gentle antioxidant serum I can comfortably use every morning without irritation. It’s improved the overall evenness of my skin tone, especially with reducing the flushed appearance on my cheeks in the mornings. It’s also helped fade dark marks from my monthly breakouts on my chin much faster than they usually would. I should mention that I’ve been using azelaic acid at night as well, so the combination is likely contributing to the results I’m seeing. Since the Authentic Ego serum contains multiple antioxidants that help soothe and calm the skin, I think it’s worth considering if you’re dealing with irritation/ inflammation/redness/ PIE instead of other Vitamin C serums marketed for only fading dark marks. Hope this provided some more context on the serum and my experience so far :)

    • @florencesolis9636
      @florencesolis9636 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chareesbeauty i am also using (on/off) azelaic acid since 2019. so far it really improves my acne marks… all i want is brightening product. I also tried sk-ii(good but mehh… too expensive), dr idriss major fade line (i really want this line but too expensive and I only bought only on resellers because they do not offer shippings in asia. will try authentic ego because i am not a fan of L-ascorbic ingredients only stable vitamin c. Thank you for taking your time replying to me. you’re so nice

    • @chareesbeauty
      @chareesbeauty หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@florencesolis9636 Yes, azelaic acid is incredible and super underrated! For brightening products at a fair price point available in Asia, the numbuzin No.5 Vitamin Concentrated Serum is worth trying. Although it includes L-ascorbic acid, it also has two derivatives, alongside other brightening and antioxidant ingredients like alpha arbutin, niacinamide, liquorice, turmeric, lingonberry, glutathione, and ubiquinone. I was using that one until I switched to Authentic Ego’s serum. Another underrated gem I used to swear by (and went through countless bottles) is the Isntree C-Niacin Toning Ampoule, featuring a vitamin C derivative, niacinamide, turmeric, and sea buckthorn. These are the two that come to mind at the moment :)

    I would have loved a video with the rashes, as someone who has Lupus and severe allergies, dry skin with acne, I find it refreshing to see other people show that they are not always perfect. people can be very judgmental towards someone with something you can't control yourself 100%

    • @chareesbeauty
      @chareesbeauty หลายเดือนก่อน

      I completely understand where you’re coming from, and I empathise with you. Filming under bright studio lights for hours generates a lot of heat, and when my rash was at its worst, it felt like my skin was on fire. To avoid exacerbating it, I decided to pause filming until it got better, which is why I explained what happened to me and shared a picture of it. I’m grateful for your understanding, and I agree-it’s so important to show that we all have moments when things aren’t perfect!

      Speaking from my personal experience, I definitely over-packed my skincare when I visited Thailand! There are isles of mini/travel-sized skincare products at 7-Eleven for 50p - £3.00. If you plan on shopping for full-sized products, I'd recommend checking out Watsons as they have a) more options of Korean/Japanese/ Asian brands and b) more affordable prices and discounts (e.g. 2-for-1 deals/ 2nd bottle 80% off etc). One thing I wouldn't recommend is going to Boots (for skincare) as it's way more expensive than here! Have a great trip :)

    Your video has been very informative. There are so few mineral sunscreens in Europe, and they're generally very poorly reviewed. I have rosacea and SD and searching for non white cast sunscreens is mission impossible. All tinted ones are dark for my skin tone. I'd love you could review them using 1/4 of a teaspoon, which is the recommended amount. Thank you!

      @chareesbeauty 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Regarding European sunscreens you'd like me to review, can you kindly share the brand names as there's loads out there! As for the recommended amount, it varies widely depending on your face size, e.g. for my face size, the calculation came to 1/8th teaspoon (although I generally apply more for extra protection). The two fingerlength rule used in this video is a more realistic approximation everyday application :)

    This is a great video and so helpful!! Do you know if it’s true that there are skin bleaching ingredients in southeast asian sunscreens? I feel like this isn’t true and I’m hoping I can continue to buy my usual Asian sunscreens when I’m in Thailand/cambodia/vietnam for 2.5 months later this year!

      All the sunscreens in Thailand that I saw didn’t contain any bleaching ingredients, they mostly stock all the Korean & Japanese brands in the major department stores which all comply to proper sunscreen regulations :)

      Some of them but not common. It's on the label "whitening" ( in English). The whitening usually mild I wouldn't called it bleach. The real bleach here is fruit soap . Be careful with soap that has fruit and fruit extract ingredients .
