Quest Cheddar and Sour Cream Protein Chips Review (without Bluegrass music)
I filmed this the day I opened my box of Quest Protein Chips. It's not an in-depth review, but more of a first impression. I bought a box of 8 cheddar and sour cream and one each of sea salt and BBQ. I've only had a couple bags. I ate some of the sea salt ones with hummus. Not horrible, but not great. They're very filling. I can only eat 1/2 bag.

This is my introductory video. I filmed it today after I got off the phone with my insurance company. I gave some stats, but I forgot to mention I'm 5'3", making my current BMI 39.9.
Nice body post boobs
I'm GLAD I FOUND YOU. We are so much alike. Our birthdays are the same but I'm older lol and I was in nursing but no longer. We do our closets the same lol I know I am behind but I will catch up lol.
Congrats on the work-related nsv's! Hope your knee feels better soon :)
Oh and a wonderful prune cure from jessie! I think I might try that :)
Thanks for this I'm looking into them as I type! Can't wait to see you and meet Michelle in a couple weeks
Do you have glasses in every color of the rainbow? I love all your glasses. I even talked about them in my update today. Thanks for the review. I bet they're hideously expensive. I'll go check.
You look amazing! Love the shirt, the glasses and the earrings! Wish I lived nearby so I could come to your party!
Aww...I miss you too! I got your package today!!! I was so excited. My little guy asked me if it was my birthday :) Thank you so much! You are so thoughtful. You look beautiful Btw. <3
Very good and thank you TK! =)
Good job! You will not be silenced, banjos be damned!
U have 150 now. Anyway enjoy your vacation. U look great.
Oh MY GOSH!! I almost missed your update b cuz you look sooo different <3 Way to go girl. You are just killing it & look fabulous. I`m still holding out for a clearance on when I can begin... I went to Louisville,KY today for Norton Hospital Center of excellence for their seminar. I am busting my butt for a Dec date RNY (Fingers Crossed) I look forward to keep watching you melt away! Big Hugs from Indiana <3
LOVE the specs!! Totally adorable. Cute outfit, too! Isn't it just grand to be wearing cute normal-sized clothes? I hope that very complicated-looking brace on your knee does what it's supposed to do and you're feeling better soon. Congrats on your Medium scrubs. I can't wait until I can fit into medium ANYTHING. How tall are you? Great job, TeeKay. I always love your vids.
Tk You look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Still a good loss in my book.I LOVE THE EARRINGS! SURE DO THE COOKING VIDEO! COULD YOU DO THE CHIPS REVIEW OVER? HUGS, Dixie
Dixie, I figured the musical chips review out in my way to work this afternoon. Duh. I don't know how I did that. I'm going to re upload that video by itself. Thanks!
You look fantastic! I'm laughing my ass off at s*** baby !
He he. Thanks!
Hey TK, I'm planning on coming too. My Facebook name is Jennifer Lazarz
I've got you on the list. Can't wait!
1. Guacamame recipe, please! 2. Your earrings are great and not at all old-lady. 3. The music played over nearly all of your protein chips review and it made me laugh because it was like you were being censored or something. Like the protein chip people had to silence you. 4. PS: hi! I'm in Chicago, but not sure if I could do a meet n greet. But hi, neighbor!
Bettie Lou, you made me laugh! Maybe it was the protein chips people sabotaging me! I didn't love them, after all. 😆 Thanks!
The recipe link you gave me for the hummus was a virus. Gee! not a nice surprise, I sure hope it was an accident. Good thing I have a Mac and it caught it right away.
It's actually a recipe page on allrecipes.com, not a virus. I do see that it is the mobile site, though, as it's m.allrecipes.com rather than www.allrecipes.com. I'm guessing that's why your Mac didn't like it. I do most everything on my ipad or phone, so I didn't even notice that before.
Ok. that's good. The Clam-X virus protection captured it right away and said it was a virus. That was the first time in 7 years that I've had that computer that has happened. So maybe you're right.
Hopeful T you've had your computer for seven years? Wow, maybe I should shell out the cash for a Mac. I usually keep a computer for about two or three years!
I know, right? I just got a new one for my birthday this weekend. The other one is slower but still works. I just couldn't post on here. I tried changing the settings etc...
Keep up the colace with 2 pills twice a day. Also add in probiotics and another thing that helps along with the mirilax is fiber chews/gummies to get a little extra fiber. Hope this helps! I'm pre-op but have dealt with constipation issues for years. Good luck!
Thanks, Abby!
Oops, Abbie! Sorry!
I do fiber gummies and probiotic gummies every day. The probiotics are the key. This combo with plenty of water usually does the trick. If I haven't gone for a couple days I will also mix in some mirilax.
I started a probiotic last week, but I don't know how long that takes to kick in. Since I emptied out my intestines last night, I think they should be able to start fresh nite. Lol
Oops now not nite
Ugh! That sounds so painful. I'm looking for solutions too. Good luck!
Thanks Jennifer. I think it's an issue most of us deal with, isn't it? Well I'd rather deal with constipation than obesity.
Every single day I take 2 colace in the morning and 2 at night and I take a cap full of Mirilax in 16oz of water with my vitamins in the morning. If I don't do this, I don't poop or when I finally go, it hurts bad! Good luck! Congrats on breaking the stall!!
Thanks, Tanya. Maybe I'll try the Miralax again, only 1/2 a dose and see what happens.
Yeah, you have to find the right formula for you. :)
Two prunes a day, and I'm pooping like a champ. Woo hoo!
You crack me up! Hoping you have cleared out the poop since posting this... I feel ya on the poop issue. I have found that eating some watermelon or cherries each day helps. Big hugs Poop Queen :)
I could handle eating watermelon every day!
I could handle eating watermelon every day!
Hmmmm.....wish I could offer up a good suggestion. A bottle of wine always works really well for me. I know, I'm not helping. Hope the prune juice worked! Funny story about prune juice.........Back in my bartending days we had a server in our restaurant who had a horrible table of very mean ladies. She was still very sweet to them and even offered up a special drink called a Butt Runner. Needless to say, when she came back to the table with 4 glasses of prune juice and vodka, the ladies weren't amused. <3
First, I think a bottle of wine (well, maybe a glass) is a fantastic idea. Second, I can't believe you guys had prune juice there. It's crazy--my current regimen is 2 stool softeners twice a day, at least two doses of Benefiber a day, and one probiotic a day. Clearly, I am full of shit. But you knew that already. 😉
Shit! (that's a command) I was in your shoes until about 2 weeks ago. My weight loss was either stalled or super slow, and I wouldn't go for DAYS - sometimes 5, 6, or even 8 once! I wasn't always miserable with it - just figured that I wasn't eating enough to have much "waste". But there were days when I'd have about sold my soul for some relief. I tried prune juice, Milk of Mag. (ewww!!), and finally got some stool softeners. I took two and three twice a day at first, and once I got going, I just started taking one every day with my vitamins, etc., and now I'm completely all normal. I won't stop taking them, either, unless it ends up causing me diarrhea or something. I know you tried stool softeners, so maybe this won't work for you. If not, I hope like crazy that someone else offers you a solution that gets you NORMAL.
Well Lee Ann I followed your command last night, and my ass is still paying for it. Lol! I think I'm vina take Tanya's advice and add in a little Miralax. I know you're only supposed to use that for a week, but maybe I can get things moving along a little better. 😲
Oh I hope you can get a regime that works for you, there is nothing worse than constipation!!! I wish I had a magic solution for you and me both!!! :-) love ya girl hang tough!
Aw Cassandra, back at ya!
So nice to meet you this weekend!!!
It was great to meet you, too, Lynette!
What couch to 5k program are you using?? Usually it's like a 5 minute warm up then alternating 60 seconds of jogging with 90 seconds of walking, etc. Your interval program sounds like a much better plan! Hope you have fun at the M&G <3
I started using a different one from Zen, that MamaMiaVSG told me about. Waaaaay better! It's like what you described. Now, I just need to get my arthritis under control, and life will be good.
I had to chuckle. The concerns you voice about your fears are practically word for word the EXACT same issue I talked about in my week 5, 6 and 7 updates. I wondered if it's a typical thing - stalling, hovering around the same few pounds for what seems like forEVER. And, interestingly, I too found that even though I wasn't losing weight my body was truly getting smaller. My clothes at the beginning of my 2 week stall fit way looser at the end. I don't understand that, but I'll take it. And YES, my weight loss did resume, and YES it has continued. The only thing I did differently was lighten up on my crazy military efforts to stay EXACTLY on plan - protein first, then veggies and nary a carb crossed my lips. And, like you, I really had a hard time eating much more than 500 calories a day. As totally insane as it sounds, I QUIT tracking (accidentally at first - had several crazy-busy days and couldn't get to it). I ate when I was hungry and made sane choices, but allowed myself the occasional half slice of bread, a bite or two of pie and ice cream at my grandson's B-day party, and that kind of stuff. And then the weight started to come off again. This last week I lost 6 pounds. That's 6 pounds!!! I'm not suggesting that you do what I did. I don't even know if there's any correlation between my change to more relaxed "normal" eating and my resumed weight loss. But - it's working for me, at least for now. If I need to change it up, or back, or up or down, I will. The one thing I did learn (see my most recent video) is that it's totally normal to worry about this stuff at the beginning. Even though you've watched others go through the same thing, you have to go through it yourself before you relax a bit and realize that this is just the way it works. At the beginning, especially, since we're deep in the throes of trying to figure out how the hell we're supposed to feed ourselves after ____ years of eating another way, we're trying to follow our doc's instructions and our nutritionist's diet (which is significantly different than ALL the other docs and nutritionists through the universe, apparently - what is that??). So try not to worry, TK, and trust the process and your sleeve. You're right, logic says you can't NOT lose weight. You, your sleeve and your body will all reach a consensus before too long. What choice do we have? Hope you had a great meet-n-greet. Wish I could come and play too.
It's funny, that difference in thinking from your logical viewpoint vs your emotional one. I try to listen to my logical side as much as possible--she's much smarter! I'm headed the right direction, so all is well. Take care! xo
TK Sleever Hey . . . how's everything else, uh, working out? Are you moving consistently yet? I had to up my stool softeners to 2 a day - one morning one at night, and that's been a really good move. I'm laughing out loud here, as I struggle to find a delicate way to ask you if you're taking regular shits yet. Sheese.
TK I AM SORRY ABOUT NOT GETTING TO TALK TO YOU MORE BUT I ENJOYED MEETING YOU! YOUR GETTING SO SMALL! THIS WAS A GREAT VIDEO HOPE YOU HAD LOTS OF FUN NEXT TIME I WILL STAY FOR THE WHOLE EVENT! YOU ARE SO SWEET! DIXIE
I know, I didn't even see you leave. I was like, "Where's Dixie!?" Next time, sister!
Sounds like some exciting things are happening at work. You'll have to keep is posted. I had that thought, "Maybe this is it." So many times. And so far the weight loss has continued. For me, I think it comes from trying so hard in the past and then ultimately failing. Loved getting to spend some time with you this weekend <3
It was so much fun hanging out with you, too. I hope you can make it my way next month!
i am so proud of you
Thanks, Maryellen!
Girl, you're using a crazy C25K program. I'm going to send you the link to the one I'm using via FB. It's walk for 5 minutes, run for 60 seconds, walk for 90 seconds, repeat for 20 minutes. I understand the frustration about the limbo weight thing. I've been basically the same weight for 2 weeks. So frustrating!!
Thanks so much for the info on Zen's C25K--so much better! I can restart again in a couple days, so hopefully it'll go better this time. Can't wait to try it with my knee brace.
that's really exciting about possibly getting to work with a bariatric surgeon! try weighing yourself only once a week. you will see the scale move. you are doing great! try a few calorie dense foods (not high sugar). for instance, I struggle to keep my calories low so I do low fat cheese. so maybe do the opposite of what I do, lol.
I've been doing better at getting my calories up--Blue Diamond flavored almonds are my new treat. Wow, are they ever good! See you soon, Christine!
Looks like a delicious soup. Turnip greens are very good with a little bacon and hot sauce. Like spicy spinach.
I like your cooking videos. Your weight lose is really showing on you. Keep up the great work.
That stall through week 4 is totally where I am now, I'm so glad you talked about it.
It does help to know that others are going through the same stuff, doesn't it?
Yum-yum!! Gonna do this for sure! I'm a slow loser, too, but that's OK. As long as I'm making progress. Plus, maybe we slow losers won't have such a problem with hair loss as the ones who are dropping 10 pounds a week! Keep it up, girl. You're doing so great. Sure can see the difference!
Thanks, Lee Anne! I'm hoping slow loss will help with shrinkles, too!
Well, the shrinkles (love that word!! never heard it before!) are coming out in droves on my face - the only place I can really see any loss. By the time I get to goal I'll look like a real old crone. But I'll be a healthy crone!
Another great video! That soup looks yummy! I'd also use kale instead of spinach. I love kale - salad, chips, sauteed, I don't care!! You are looking awesome. 16!!! Congrats!!! <3
TK.....THANK YOU.....for the shout out girlfriend......Congrats on your loss....lookin' good!
Tk.. Congrats on yor progress of your weight loss.! And the soup looks delicious, I'm gonna have to get the stuff to make it!
Thanks, Jessica! I'm sure trying. If you make it, let me know what you think.
Smells yummy from here... I love that soup and am really happy to know it can be made at home. You are so talented TK... Such a natural Video hostess! I feel like pulling up to the counter and drinking a glass of wine, great conversation and a delicious meal. Congrats on your loss!! You are doing so great.
Aw Patti, you're too kind. Come on over, pull up a chair at the peninsula, and I'll fix you up something nice!
I would LOVE that!! Someday.... I will come a knockin' on your door =).
I could totally see myself just hanging out with you chatting in your kitchen while we chat!! It looks like you're doing great!! The soup looked delish!
Come on over! I think Tanya and Tonia in the kitchen would be a lot of fun! Maybe wait until I can have some wine, though. That'd be November 12th, but who's counting?
Ha!!! I love that you know the date!!! That's the day before my one year anniversary from my tummy tuck... what better reason to have a glass of wine. What am I saying... I need no reason to have a glass of wine! LOL
vsgtanya2011 true dat!
Hopeful -T No, I make it with garbanzo beans, roasted garlic, lemon zest, etc. It's really awesome and super easy. I'll show it in another video. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, Dixie! It's gonna be fun!
I have only been to Olive Garden once (and it was all about the bread -- can't even remember what else I ate) -- and am not familiar with this soup. Sounds incredible. On the menu for next week. Love "Cooking with TK" Have a great week!
Thanks, Elizabeth, you too!
YAY ! on your approval! I know this video is a bit older so I don't know if you have been "sleeved" already.. But Your video rocked!
You are a cooking Chemist, It is so cathartic purging the Closet . But the low Co2 beer is strong. Mike Mac .
Mmm. That Buzzed beer sounds delish.
Great video, as always! You are SOOO organized! Send some of those vibes to me, will ya? Thanks for the food ideas - I'm at the puree/soft foods stage and will try your guacamame (or was that edimole??). MUST FIND RECIPE. You look GREAT, TK. Your progress is totally visible. Wish I lived closer to Ames. Guess I'll have to wait for another soiree on the west coast. Keep up the good work, and great videos! ♥
Loving the beer taps. That is one thing I will definitely miss! I don't know why I wasn't thinking of it as a carbonated beverage until you brought it up. Boo! You are looking great!
I'm binge watching your videos this morning...AND you are awesome! I freaking LOVE that you have beer on tap in your kitchen! SWEET! You look amazing, keep up the great work oh and that is some hella organizing with the closet, SHIT!
Nothing like a good video binge! I hopeI've managed to make them all different enough from one another to keep them somewhat interesting. I'm trying! Thanks for the wonderful feedback. You're awesome, too!
