So happy I was able to see the new Aerolarri Turbulance on a beautiful zo6. After hesitating on designs it only took me 10 seconds after seeing them in person. Although I have my eye on another style for my 2 face style for my wide body coming soon.

Flew in 909 13 times, the last about 5mo before the crash. I noticed she looked tired, dirty and rusty, but assumed they were maintaining the important things. Apparently I was wrong.. 😒🇺🇸

Watching footage like this makes me sick to the pit of stomach. Should never have lost this aircraft or Texas Raiders..

Years ago at Nantucket airport , I parked this aircraft, did a walking tour but didn’t fly in it. Got my picture of myself in front of it . . I was there from 1984~88. Later on , went back and retired after 27 years . Got some good pictures of aircraft that day . And met all the guys who flew them am all . Very sad .

Luckily they weren’t being controlled by that air boss that day.

from your description, I was sort of expecting something else. but then I guess the camera wouldn't have survived the fire.

The post crash investigation clearly showed the plane was unsafe, poorly maintained & never should have been flown in such condition. A needless tragedy.

My father was a radio operator / tail Gunner in a B-17! He was stationed on the island of tinian the day the Enola Gay took off but had no idea what was going on until after it detonated! My father was doing ground training for the invasion of Japan! The bomb probably saved my life when my father didn't have to go in with a rifle in his hand instead of up in the air where he belonged! So sad to hear about this B-17 that went down! I wanted to go but I couldn't afford the fee one another one was down in South Florida! RIP to all that were ever in a B-17!!

Do the Thrasher and Squadron "rear" wheels have additional supports/rails/etc. to give them added strength / durability?

I had the pleasure of taking my Dad on the 909 for his 80th birthday a couple of years before she went down. He was an old air force man and it was the best experience for us both. Super experience and men who flew.

Time to stop flying these old planes.

hey bud, this vid just came up in YT suggested vids and thought maybe i saw myself but no. however i did fly on this plane think it was in 2016 winchester virginia, still have vids and stills of course. was shocked and saddened when i heard it crashed.

Had never seen them in the air. Or in person for that matter. This thing had to been scary as hell to see from the ground in it's birth years.

I had the privilege to fly aboard the Yankee Lady B-17G , July 2003. This video says it all about the thrill.... but never for once having the concern that what happened to them could /would happen. Then I thought of the tens of thousands of brave airmen in WW2 who took to the skies against greater odds and lived and died serving with no thought of it being a joy ride. RIP to all who have served and those who have preserved these amazing machines.

Did the walk through multiple times, the last 2 or 3 with my young son. Beautiful machine. Way back, I did the walk through at the Fort Collins airport (pretty sure it was the Collins Foundation). I was amazed by the aircraft. It was a narrow runway for such a large aircraft. Skilled pilots! Great memories, sorry for the loss.

Lived in a basement apartment below Mr and Mrs White in NJ. Mrs White informed and showed pictures of her husband's WW2 duty as a officer navigator on a b17 i believe over Italy but maybe more. Mr White was sent to places to rest between missions basically psychiatric clinics and had lifelong case of bad nerves PTSD.
