From logs to power and heat
In this video, we showcase a state-of-the-art reference plant for drying wood chips, captured from a bird's-eye view. The plant, located at Burkhardt Plant 3 in Mühlhausen, processes wood chips specifically designed for use in the innovative Burkhardt wood gasifier. These wood gasifiers, together with the downstream wood gas cogeneration units, form part of the on-site plant network and directly utilize the dried wood chips to generate sustainable energy.
Thanks to the carefully planned arrangement of the process elements-from drying to utilization-this plant serves as a model for prospective customers looking to implement similar solutions.

What’s this unit produce for energy?
The Burkhardt wood gasifier / wood-gas-CHP combination produces heat and power from wood pellets. In this case - in Ueno Village: 260 kW heat and 165 kW electricity. Please find more information: burkhardt-energy.com
