@@gnaflethegarthok3074 If you haven't already, enable the crossplay setting. It allows you to play with players that are on other platforms such as Xbox and Playstation, and if you are on a next gen console you can also play with PC players. In my region, which is NA West, my servers are always full, so there isn't really a peak time so to speak. I play on PS4, which means I can't play with pc since I'm on a last gen console. As far as I am aware, last gen consoles have the largest player count, but that isn't confirmed.

Blast from the past

Hits detonate the missile and do damage. If you run out of fuel, the missile will still detonate but only does explosive damage about 30% of the time. Unfortunately the tgm (and other impact based explosives for that matter) is balanced very weirdly. It does a max of 27 damage to vehicles, with 26 of those damage points coming from the impact. The blast radius is about 2-3 meters which is basically nothing. Side note to clarify what you saw in the video, the hitbox desync on my platform is terrible so I have to intentionally "miss" whatever aircraft I'm aiming at in order to hit where it actually is. What I see isn't the true position of the vehicle. More info in the description if you're interested.

The hitbox desync is pretty bad in this game, so bad in fact that you often have to over compensate on fast moving targets. Refer to these videos for more info: th-cam.com/video/eZr48px8Y28/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/SZAqpMo1pd0/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/5gjlQVSeu_c/w-d-xo.html Casper drones and EOD bots are good visual representations of what hitboxes are doing since those two have the same update rate as player hitboxes.

Get ready to be farmed even more after 6.2. It's gonna be a lot easier to kill people now that you no longer have to guess where your heli's rounds are going. It's a mid tier change and raises the skill floor on an already easier to learn vehicle category. Already skilled pilots are going to be more difficult to deal with now.

@@rene837 Understandable, a lot of people are disappointed in 2042 still.

Look closer, a lot of them do try to dodge, most notably in the 3 final clips with the pink heli. Pay attention to when I fire my missile too, it's always when the enemy is at the apex of a turn or when they have tunnel vision from fighting another aircraft. I prioritize catching people off guard and giving them as little time as possible to react which is why I also immediately boost after firing.

With how bad the hitbox lag is in this game, you actually have to try and miss the target entirely to get the kill. If the vehicle or player is moving fast enough (which isn't that fast in my experience), the hitbox will lag behind, then tp in front of the player model a few meters to compensate (look at casper drones and eod bots as a visual example of this). While it looks like I should definitely have missed most of these shots, that's not really how it goes in 2042. If you see the static while passing through a player model, that's the game trying to register a hit but failing because the hitbox wasn't in the correct position. Check the description for videos of the hitbox lag being properly tested and displayed if you want better representation of the problem. This was also a problem is BFV as I've been told by others in the community.

Battlefield has never been realistic. R6 is definitely far from realistic as well. They are both arcade shooters.
