Azhar came from a very modest background. His cricketing exploits meant a complete transformation of life for him and his family which is really happy and lucky. In countries like pakistan, if you are born poor there are a few ways out especially since access to quality education is rather expensive. Cricket is one of those few options but in a country of nearly 300 million and a class of decision makers who couldnt care less about merit, you need a lot of things on top of raw talent to make it through.
