Digital Poetry - "Tapestry of Life and Death"
Tapestry of Life and Death
By Aura Laylatul Ramadhani (222122012)
Creative Writing Final Project
This Tapestry of Life and Death is a poem I created to explore the intricate relationship between life and death, portraying them as patterns shaped by unseen hands, perhaps alluding to God or destiny. While sorrow may touch us, destiny softly whispers, revealing a vast and intricate divine script. In life's journey, we experience a spectrum of emotions-breathing, smiling, aching, and crying-all fleeting like clouds in the sky. Each life is likened to a candle destined to burn out, with every soul longing for eternal love.
In this work, I also highlight the role of parents as steadfast pillars during our early years. Through their sacrifices, they quell our fears and illuminate our paths with pure love, standing firm through every storm. Death is not portrayed as a foe to fear but as a gateway to unseen realms. Like autumn leaves that fall, we too will vanish, yet life renews itself where roots have been planted.
Every breath is a gift, and every heartbeat a fleeting but radiant melody. We are guests beneath the sun and moon, here to love, cherish, and ignite our spirits. Through this poem, I aim to convey the importance of embracing every joy and facing every challenge while honoring those who paved the way for us. When death comes to part us from this life, love remains as our enduring legacy.
This poem carries a strong message about the importance of appreciating every moment. Each breath is a gift, and every heartbeat is a brief yet meaningful melody. I encourage readers to live life with love, gratitude, and passion.
I also incorporated vivid metaphors to deepen the emotional resonance:
• "Candle meant to die" symbolizes the transience of human life.
• "Autumn leaves" illustrates the natural and beautiful transition from life to death.
• "Guests beneath the sun and moon" reflects the idea that life is temporary, like visitors
stopping briefly in the grand passage of time.
This poem is not just a reflection on life and death but also a profound appreciation of love, family, and the spiritual journey of humanity.

Alhamdulillah, You did it. The contents are so lovely. The presentation is heart touching. Sharpen your pronouncing, and the script must be larger and more contrast then the background so the audience know the message. Last, I love you so much
