Textiles East Fair, is normally a textile event in Cambridgeshire; which aims to provide a dynamic, active platform for textile artists to exhibit and retailers to showcase their beautiful products for purchase. However due to covid, the event for 2021 normally held on the second weekend of the February half term has been cancelled.
The fair is a small family run event, originally started by Claire Cousins to exhibit the work of ERTF. The textiles enthusiasts of the family include Claire's sister Michelle and Claire's daughter Lotte, now the current organizer of the event.
The fair has grown in popularity and continues to promote the beautiful textile art work produced by other groups around East Anglia.
We intent to upload videos from our home, sharing inspiration and ideas; plus videos and photos sent to us from our traders.
All videos start with a track called "She No Dull Beat" by the artist Nana Kwabena.

Wonderful find, first time watching. Are these available for purchase?
I do have 2 left, but due to postal costs they are only available in the UK.
Brilliant
I have to say you inspired me and I’ve spent this afternoon playing with pieces of fabric. Totally absorbing and enjoyable so thank you very much. Rather than making a book I was experimenting with putting the designs onto small canvas boards.
I am so glad you have found the videos helpful. Putting them on a canvas is a lovely idea. Happy stitching ♥️🧵🪡

Hi Claire, are you only using straight stitch?
It is called freemotion. The machine length and width are set to 0 and the dogteeth feed is dropped. Then you can move the fabric in any direction.
@@TextilesEastFair Yea. You can also use zig zag which is amazing
❤❤ love it....awesome ❤️ 😍

Wuauuu muy bello bendiciones desde mi país Chile
I did something like this a few days ago. I took batting and sprayed it with 505 spray. I cut out hearts from my scrap fabric free hand. I put them on the batting then I added organza on top and went over it with a wavy stitch. I did this to 2 pieces. I’m going to make a zipper bag with it.
That sounds lovely Kathleen. Happy stitching 🧵♥️🪡
Love the tutorials, lost sound, was that just regular stamps you used? And stamp ink?
And what is that film?
Please try the reloaded video th-cam.com/video/6YjRf848hKU/w-d-xo.html It is a regular stamp and ink. The film is angelina too.
I love it. Its like cotton candy for the eyes.

I fell in love with your beautiful mushrooms and this texture base is stunning. Thank you for inspiring me to do new things with my fabric bits. Acacia wood is sustainable and when harvesting, only the prunings are used, the trees aren't cut down. In California they grow like weeds. In California they are planted in new housing developments became they grow so fast.
Thank you for your lovely comment and I am glad you found it inspiring. It is reasuring to know that the wood is sustainable, I appreciate that. Happy stitching ♥️🧵🪡
