I'd like to visit Vietnam for the first time this November. My dad is a veteran USN he was at the battle of Hue City. So I'd like to visit Hue City for a few days, visit some of the temples and holy shrines around the area or different places, then definitely stop by Da Nang to chill at the beach. Should I fly into Hanoi or Saigon? My airport is Dulles IAD, it looks like any connecting flights are from San Fransisco.
I wish you a great trip to Vietnam, I fell in love with this beautiful country and nice people ! I traveled from Phu Quoc to Saigon by ferry and from Saigon to Da Nang by sleeping bus. Don't know anything about Hanoi

This is not a seasonal issue . After sunset all these places are packed. Weird, but at 12am almost everything closed
