Airmiles is a ripoff. They notify you to use your airmiles card or they will delete your account. I wanted to transfer my airmiles points to May partner as he uses the card more then I. Airmiles charges 0.15 cents for every air mile transferred. That would cost me over $75.00.

Hello, I am in a consumer proposal with a credit at about 500-520. Hometrust was an absolute nightmare to deal with. Before they even went through my application they required a deposit. They wanted document after document that I couldn't even provide, then after 3 months of holding my deposit and no call backs, I just had to cancel and now have to go through trying to get my deposit back because they sent confirmation my application was canceled but never sent me the deposit in return. Capital one is on my consumer proposal so I can't be approved for any of their products until the proposal is completed. And refresh is not available in Saskatchewan where I live. What other options do I have? Credit Karma suggests Plastk. Is that a good next step?

Wouldn't it just be better to get a cash back card then? Costco's Mastercard gives 3% on restaurants, 2% on fuel and 1% on everything else and its practically free since you save money shopping at Costco. Some cash back cards give more than 1% back on many things.

Just got the RBC card in this video (nice card, black and metal). Honestly, I can't really tell any major benefits beyond my TD Infinite First Class Travel VISA. RBC doesn't make it very clear. Sure, it promises mobile device insurance and up to 2 years extra on manufacturer's warranty on things you buy that is probably impossible to actually use. It seems like using Expedia for TD (was 4.5% back in TD points but I think they decreased to 3.75% back??), and ability to spend points on Amazon is much -easier- vs RBC which has hypothetically better, but more tedious to access benefits in some regards. The best I can tell is that for travel if you use the RBC card perfectly ideally, you'd get 2.5% back, which is a far cry from 3.75% back. Both give lounge access x 6 passes. No fees with TD card if you keep $5000 in bank account, which itself has other good perks besides free credit card. I'd have to try the RBC card more to know how it truly compares, though. Anyone got any experience with both? Am I missing something here?
