I don't know who thanks they're going to pop but they've lost a step or 2. If the song the hell you call a dream is pop then I don't know my rock and roll, Automatic sun is not pop. And the people in the mosh pits That Paulina called for were not dancing to pop. Get with the groove people rock and roll this is not a pop band by any means if you don't believe me getting Paulina's face and ask her personally, You know drummers slap pretty hard. The more I listen and watch, the more I discover small things I love. Recently, I've been drawn to the way Dany gestures with her index finger. There's a precision to it, as if it holds a hidden energy that emphasizes the lyrics and enhances the music, making the audience feel included in a shared secret understanding. It’s a “You all know what I'm talking about, and we are all in this together.” The way she points with such authority is really cool. Right up there Pau puts her chin down and looks straight into the camera and grins. And the way Ale cuts her eyes and smiles. When I was 22 my band opened for Janis Joplin and Jerry Lee Lewis, so I've been up close and on stage with some powerful groups. Not since Peral Jam have I been this enthralled with a rock band as cool as The Warning. I watch at least one song every night. One brief telling thing that happened that made me so happy: towards the end of the song, Dany plays the wrong chord and quickly moves her hand up the neck to play the right one. In an age of pre-recorded music pretending to be live, it's nice to see a young band actually playing live. As Joe Strummer once said, "Playing (punk) music isn't about playing the right chords."

One evening Dany's gonna get that left leg stuck up here and then she's going to be Ian Anderson
