I enjoy the ride . I love The Video . Bonnie's mother did not like Claude Barrow , He was trash , Bonnie , was not buried next to Barrow . Bonnie's saw to that .😊💰💰
Yes true. Thank you for watching
Very Well done. Thanks
Thank you for watching
Good video. I enjoyed the part about the detail of it's manufacture.
Thank you for watching
Best not to remember how they died but how they lived.
Bonnie and Clyde should have been fed to hogs. So they could have been hog shit.
Love these types of videos. Bonnie and Clyde got what was coming to them, as they should. A lot of people suffered hard times back then, but few went on a murder and crime spree. I feel for their families. But, I also feel for the families of their victims.
Yes I agree with you. Thank you for watching
Great video.I have been fascinated with Bonnie since a girl.So sad.Their story is a love story one filled with adventure and tragedy. What an era they lived in. I am sure they rejoined after death.
Yes I agree with you. Thank you for watching
I would say he had good tast in browning automatic guns. At the time was considered top weapons. This always Interest me about Clyde
Yes he stole many of them. Thank you for watching
I recently came across your channel and saw some video you put of Bonnie and Clyde and i love it. Very informative indeed. Iv always been interested in there story since i watched the movie they did about them in 1967. ❤
Thank you for your support
Most of their life was wrong. They didn't kill for the fun of it...they killed only in self defense. So wrong...
That was not their last ride. Clyde’s last ride was from the funeral parlor, or church, to the the graveyard. Bonnie’s was from one graveyard to another.
Future videos to come. Thank you for watching
Iz it True that Clyde couldn't get it up her.???.
Mr. Largent you passed right by where I use to live, we lived just 2 blocks north of Hwy 80 in Bossier City, until 1982. Me and my family went to the state fair in Shreveport in the mid 70s and they had an attraction there that had Bonnie and Clyde’s car it was riddled with bullet holes I was about 8-10 back then but I do remember that. Thanks for sharing this video brought back many memories I’m now 60
Thats a nice story. Thank you for your comment and watching.
The music is so sad.
I been to Gibsland 2 months ago....seen the museum and the site of AMBUSH
I always loved, The Bonnie And Clyde Death Car that exchanged hands but especially went back to the ORIGINAL, owner! ❤
I found it very interesting! ❤
Thank you for watching
@@bartl.largent9048 You're welcome. Thank you for posting it!
Nicely done sir, very interesting how you took us on highway 80 west. The same way Bonnie and Clyde went. Thank you sir.
Thank you for your comment
I loved the ride you took us on. So interesting . Great video! Thanks!
Thank you for your comment
They were also aspiring rap artists
Very interesting
Thank you for watching
Eastern state penitentiary also housed aside from al capone slick willie Sutton a bank robber from the 1940s and prospect place in Ohio was a stop for slaves on the underground railroad and where a bounty hunter was hung in the barn
Thank you for watching
I wonder if the highways had painted lines on them yet ?
I believe many portions of Highway 80 back then did not have any markings. Perhaps only through the small towns. Thank you for watching
They were nothing but killers anyway you look at it.
Bart, I got to thinking about the mileage on that car. Clyde must have put close to 7K miles on that car ,before the ambush. He must have been driving close to 200 miles a day. That's a lot of miles considering the roads weren't paved everywhere, like today and no Expressways.
Yes very true. Couple of his kidnap victims claimed to have seen him drive 80 mph on dirt and muddy roads. Thats crazy. Thank you for watching
I never gave it any thought on how Bonnie and Clyde got back to Dallas. I've been to the death site and recently saw the death car in Nevada. Thanks it was very interesting.
Thank you for watching and your comment
Who in there right mind would modify this car for a race? That is utter STUPIDITY. If i were a collector, this decreases its value significantly.
I agree. Thats just crazy. Thank you for watching
Enjoyed your video very much. I doubt Bonnie & Clyde ever imagined that there legacy would live on for decade's and not just here but in countries around the world. The average person is forgotten in less than 10 to 20 years.
Thank you for watching
Its insane how many government armory they broken into
Yes and how easy they were to break into. Thank you for watching
You know in todays world they would probably just be considered two kids that were really mistreated and victims of circumstance, and those officers would all be treated as the murdering thugs. My how times have changed 🤷🏻♂️
That is so true in today’s world. Thank you for watching
That Ambush wouldn't fly today with this WOKE movement, that has afflicted our country. They'd probably get a suspended sentence and probation.
They were just murdering thugs.. 👿⚖️😎👌
@@idessaoutlaw you know I used to work with a guy that was married to Bonnie’s niece or some relation. He said her family never would admit she (Bonnie) was wrong. In their eyes it was all Clyde, he did all the killing, all the stealing and Bonnie wouldn’t never have been like she was if it wasn’t for Clyde which may be true in a sense but she was with him willingly so guilt by association 🤷🏻♂️
@@craigcook1571 How about this.. I'm right and you're right.. both things can be true.. but two wrongs still don't make a right
Pretty sure it was WD"s testimony that Bonnie never fired a gun in battle and I always pretty much believed that. I also read that Clyde made a sling from a tire inner tube and would carry the sawed-off semi-auto 20 gauge under his coat and would swing it up through a hole in his pocket.
Actually, after WD Jones was captured, he gave a statement that at the McBride’s house, Bonnie fired several rounds at officers. Maybe this was the first and only time. No one knows.
Nice job sir
Thank you for watching
Bart, you do a amazing job in telling the story, I always enjoy your history,
Thank you very much.
We don’t need any more gun laws. Criminals always have guns that they have stolen. Most of Bonnie and Clyde’s arsenal was stolen from armories.
The sheriff was a scambag basically. Bonnie and Clyde live forever ❤️
The most powerful American love story of all history. Their souls melted together by the flame in their heart. No one could tear them apart. They rode together side by side from the day they met till the day they died. That's the love story of Bonnie and Clyde.
Very true. Thank you for watching
Whatever - she never even divorced her first husband - She was notorious for sleeping around and Clyde didn't seem to mind - You people take historical situations and twist them into something it isn't -
@@bartl.largent9048no it isn't - unbelievable
That was a demonic love. The love of stealing and killing of innocent people is not true American love.
@davidrice3337 yes thank you for watching
Even though Bonnie and Clyde were breaking laws left and right. They had killed people robbed banks stole cars stole guns many other crimes we probably don't even know. You have to feel sorry for their families. To lose their children in such a way. It is sad. We all kind of like Bonnie and Clyde.
Yes I agree with you. Their parents never got over the heartbreak. It’s hard to imagine their feelings. Thank you for watching
Thank you so very much for this wonderful video . I lived in Texas back in the early 80s and I lived in Hughes Springs there and when to Longview at times I remember Hwy 80 i Traveled it i have a son Eustace Texas so thank for sharing this video 😊👏
I like Longview. There’s a lot of history and beautiful old buildings there. Of course nowadays it’s getting bigger. Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you for rhis fantastic "trip"! You said Bonnie's mother was buried next to Bonnie. Is her father there too?
He is buried in Oklahoma. I think he died when she was very young, maybe 4 years old. Thank you for watching
I don't understand how Robert Ford was rightfully branded and called a coward and an assassin....but Hamer is called a hero...... Hamer and crew were bushwacking, cold blooded murderers, no better than Clyde!
The old saying goes, snitches get stitches, sometimes, snitches get more than stitches, it never pays to be a snitch,
Awesome video
Thank you so much for watching
Excellent!!!❤
Thanks Tom.
Interesting video
Thank you for watching
Thanks for the video
You’re welcome. Thank you for watching
I did enjoy your video. I recognized much of the scenery along the way. I have been to Gibsland, LA. for the Bonnie and Clyde Days Festival. It was very interesting. Bonnie and Clyde lived in a very difficult time in our history. That’s not to excuse them from the terrible deeds they were responsible for. Again I enjoyed your video very much.
Yes I agree with you. Thank you for watching
Hi again Mr Bart I thank you again for these good days that's now gone but not forgotten 😢😮😢😢😢
You’re so welcome. Thank you for watching.
Now all the crooks and robbers are in the US congress
I've been a B & C historian most of my life. Your take that Hinton's account was accurate but staged makes sense. I always had trouble squaring his account to Hamer's in his book. One interesting detail missing here is this......Many have written and I believe the following. Clyde was known to drive shoeless. When Clyde was struck in the head and killed by Oakley's first shot his foot slipped off the clutch and the vehicle lurched forward and began heading down the road. It ultimately stopped quite a few yards away from where the first shot took place. That is why the others began shooting and kept shooting for over 30 seconds. they believed that they were getting away again. It's been speculated by Hamer and Jordan in subsequent interviews that if the car had been in neutral that the end might have been different for Bonnie. If Clyde had been killed by the first shot and the car remained still, maybe she would have been captured alive. I understand that this is facts mixed with speculation but fascinating to contemplate. Either way, the story of Bonnie and Clyde is in my opinion the most interesting and fascinating crime story in history. I hope someday someone is able to make a movie that is factually accurate. Highwy Men, Bonnie and Clyde the movie and the TV Movies made about them, especially the most recent one with Amile Hersh, are very entertaining but so disturbingly inaccurate that it's hard to watch for historians. Even most youtube documentaries are woefully inaccurate. This piece is very well done and I thank you for your research and accuracy of facts.
I agree with everything you said. I also believe that if the car did not move they wouldn’t have fired so many rounds. However, I do believe some posse members had a deadly vendetta against Bonnie. Her right hand wasn’t shot off by accident. Thank you for watching and your comment.
