I wasn't aware Mr Hughes passed away. I'm truly saddened by this news....His son is quite a singer in his own right. I loved to hear them sing together live..... I 💕 LOVE his version of "Don't Let The Green Grass Fool You" better the original version. That's a "swinging " Jam....I have to listen to it at least it a few times a day...GREAT. I grew up in Oakland, California in the mid 60's until I joined the Marines in 1972. His voice got better and better as he aged...This whole set just brings me back to those carefree days....I'm glad I can play it back and REMEMBER the GOOD DAYS ..

I can remember him performing in Oakland displaying world class vocals on an appreciated local level. I am so glad I was able to personally share with him my thoughts. A true treasure and I pray that he rests well from his labor. Thank you Mr. Freddie Hughes.
