The problem I have is that I spend the whole game fighting bots. then I’m not warmed up to fight real people and then I die the first real fight I get in.

i was one of the guys complaining about sweats, but i never wanted bots, just proper skill based match making, or ranked so i can play the game with people in similar ranks to mine. the decision to make 80% of the lobby just bots with the other 20 percent still made out of sweats is complete idiocy...

If I had to rank chapters i would say 2, 1, 5, 3, 4. And 4 is really really low. It’s the only chapter I genuinely hated.

I have renigade raider, and honestly it would be quite annoying if it came back. like the skin itself aint that good, but i think that if it were to come back it would just not make any sence. and there would be no point in using it.

I Think the Skins should be re-released as just Base Versions, and let everyone who Grinded a lot for the progressive Stages be exclusive.

Yeah, the bots is fortnite's biggest problem. Strange that nearly no one is talking about it. I just hate playing the game with 50% or more bots in the match, its just gets boring and i don't want to play anymore.

I think festival is really adding to it and bringing people back into music rhythm games like myself. Also, the entire remix thing is music artists and the entire headliner for festival, so I don't think that's a failure. It just seems to be more options and such. I don't play Lego or Rocket Racing nearly as much though, but I like the customization! 😅😎👍🏻

Yes; epic cares more about commercialisation than gameplay and has done since chapter 2 with the warning signs in chapter 1. As soon as we got the updated item shop with 300+ items everyday staying for weeks or months at a time it lost its identity. All you have to do is look at the battle passes to realise just how little they care. It went from unlockable styles having to do long quests and stuff to unlock styles but now it’s just boring skins and different colour variants of the skins.

Anything in the metaverse is a bad idea

STW, the original game and a comparatively dead mode, has more players than Festival and Rocket Racing combined. If they dropped those two, updated STW more consistently, and kept Lego they could have a solid setup.

I haven't watched the video but I came to say the metaverse isn't a failure because it hasn't even started yet. Everything we've seen is a setup and the "metaverse" won't properly start until 2026 the latest. The games introduced with Chapter 5 are just Fortnite games like STW. Donald Mustard has nothing to do with it, it was his dream with Sweeney as well but he left because the people helping his story building were sent to work on the new games before Chapter 5's release.

I would be ok with the metaverse if they did the smart thing and lump save the world into it.

They have more players than concord and other newer games, so no i don't thing its a failure. If you go into SteamDB many creative maps, STW, Lego FN and even reload have more players than full released games. I played EVE Online one of the longest running MMO's and that game has a small player base of around ~30k players, many who spend hundreds of dollars on the game. As long as they can make more money than it takes to run the server or teams updating or maintaining the game than you can call that game an overall success. Personally I view the option of not having to play BR to enjoy Fortnite as a franchise as a net good for the overall health of the game. Most games have a slow death and with this metaverse i

Reload and lego fortnite are the main two that are doing well. Lego Fortnite and rocket racing need more time to develop

i feel like it failed in its goal, and i dont think very many people joined the game or returned for the metaverse modes they're also kicking their golden goose, making tone deaf decisions. (side note: its probably Disney's fault. i have to proof, but it probably is)

I think we are barely seeing the stepping stones to this. BR will always be there and be as big as it is. These modes are just bringing new players or keeping players that are burn out invested

It feels like a mess. Turning a successful game into a game creating engine is the wrong move. Unreal Engine should be a standalone platform for creating games. If Donald Mustard was listened to and stayed, we would've had a much better battle royale experience and the storyline which would also mean proper live events. It's just becoming an ad platform.
