GREETINGS, EXCELLENT VIDEO. COULD YOU TELL ME WHAT THE ACID WAS MIXED WITH AND IN WHAT PROPORTION? AND WHY IS THE SECOND DIVE DARKER OR IS IT ANOTHER LIQUID?
@@victorediaz1 it’s distilled water mixed with the acid, somewhere around 10-1 12-1 ratio i believe. As it etches, the black oxides will change the color of the clear liquid to a darker color. Hopefully that helps, 👍 thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed!

to not crak , the brass or bronze must have low tin content,or you must bend the metal heated to red,this way its more maleable .

They are not hardened on purpose, these are novelty gifts for a wedding. Im glad you enjoyed 👍 thanks for leaving feedback.
@@madewellknives thanks for letting me know was curious had no way of knowing that they were novelty gifts I've heard that they are hardenabe you can get them between 45&50hc.
@@bigGeo5460 ya 👍some harden up nice while others will not do anything. Id say it really depends on the manufacturer of the spike itself. But on a general discussion, yes they don’t act well as an edc style blade that will take a beating/hold an edge. These are perfect to practice forging techniques like tapering, integral forging, different twists. All around good practice 👍

There are no concentric rings around the handle.
Great quality blade smithing. The fuller is a bit off, and takes it out of the KA-BAR class. But it is a truly beautiful work of art.

Hey, nice video! Thanks for your hard work. My blade has this lines, which I don't really like. I guess it is marks left after machining? Should I sandpaper/polish it before etching? Is it even possible? And if so, how I do this? What tools/materials would I need? Also I'm not even sure if 40% FeCl3 will do anything to my ~1% C ~15% Cr (10Cr15CoMoV) blade but this sulfuric acid reaction looks pretty violent and scary. Soo I guess I'll try to etch some random (similar or even more corrosion-resistant) piece of steel with FeCl3 and if everything will go fine I'll try it on my actual blade. Damn your stonewash looks so good.

What about caustic soda drain opener? Also what camera/mic were you using? The sound quality is amazing like butter and the picture is very good aswell
Thank you so much. I’m using my iPhone and capcut for editing. I would try it and see how it turns out. I use concentrated sulfuric acid for the etching and haven’t really tried others. 👍 have the best day!
The false edge looks crazy, like on the old Robeson Shuredge USMC. Also the handle looks like on the old Western G46-8 knives. Congratulations, well done,mate! 😊

Awesome show! Took a good amount of strong mushrooms.. first part felt like a battle to keep my sanity. Once this song hit, I went somewhere else. Don’t know where it was or what it was called. I left my body and felt weightless. It felt like I was somewhere new like when you go on vacation somewhere for there first time. It was all I hoped for. Everyone’s performance on stage was perfect and the music was incredible
