Hello, friends. I am Nukebrush and today we are going to make automated weapon platform "the Sentry" from BlackCatCartel.
Automatic weapons platforms are some of the most reliable warriors in the Imperium's forces. They have high firepower, are well protected and do not know fatigue or fear, which means they will not flee the battlefield at the sight of, for example, superior enemy forces. Used primarily in defense, the unpretentious Tarantula Sentry Guns copes well with such tasks as holding positions, guarding the perimeter, attacking from ambushes, and more. Soldiers of the Imperial Guard are always glad to have automatic weapons platforms, since otherwise all these tasks would have to be carried out directly by them. However, the command is also happy to accept help from the Machine Spirit, because they can always rely on the rigorous execution of orders and the virtual fearlessness of such mechanisms. The armament of the Tarantula Sentry Guns varies depending on the tasks and the expected enemy. Standard types of weapons are heavy bolters, laser and assault cannons. As for markings and camouflage, it depends on the location of the gun platform, although in addition to the usual identification marks and unit number, Imperial Guard soldiers tend to give their silent comrades nicknames and write them, contrary to regulations, directly on the turret body.
This video is just such a case - the personalized Tarantula Sentry Guns. In addition, you will see how to paint three turrets with different weapons in three different camouflages and what stencils and tricky devices to use; compare disk and triangular camouflages; learn how I create a lens effect on optical devices; find out which film inspired me to choose the names for the Sentries. Also in the video - applying decals, creating the effect of chipping paint, a little shadows and weathering of metal parts.
