Good performance but there will only ever who puts such a really good Empty tables and chairs is Michael Ball such expression and arms raised he's just brilliant as Marius watch the dream cast 10th Anniversary concert to see him ❤❤
He hecho un cover de “Sillas y mesas Vacías” Los Miserables “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” si tienes curiosidad por verlo podéis mirar mi canal “Cairo Hernán”podéis suscribiros y dais algún like 🤗 os lo agradecería! ❤
There is only person who can portray the agony of Marius and he started it all off and that's a Michael Ball his is a master class on how to sing this song
So I'm going to be honest - people in the comments are being a lot more charitable than they should be with this. This is really not a particularly good recording, and Andy is most definitely a better actor than he is a singer. Michael Ball from the original West End London cast really captured the character better than this or any other recording.
This was a very good performance imo. He portrayed Marius from a vision far more unique than most to all others. His voice was good enough, but the acting alone very much compensated for it. This is also a bootleg, not a recording.
its alot of different emotions in a short span and the one I feel he missed is the rememberance of his beloved friends purely in expression I mean its a show I get it but you feel it or you dont
I gotta say I disagree with a lot of these comments. I thought this performance was absolutely terrible and devoid of all emotion. His voice was meh at best. I thought the choreography was stupid.
This performance has arguably more emotion than literally all others. How do you look at his facial expressions and say 'devoid of all emotion'? He keeps a consistent angry/guilty tone & expression throughout the whole song. As for the choreography.. you may just be lost if you think it's stupid
Les Miserables is my absolute favorite show. I’ve seen it in four languages and I keep going back anytime it is anywhere near me... And this song is the one which always makes me sob. It’s a great film, but it really shows the difference in things you can do on a stage and on film. This is such a moving way to do this scene...
@@donttalktome6878 I really hope he comes back because there fighting Godspeed soon and the last time they did Hartley helped so I really hope he joins the cast
I've loved Les Mis since I was a child - but I was more moved by the unrequited love songs back then. Now, after going through hell and losing some of my friends I understand this song so much.. it breaks my heart. I just cried my eyes out 💔 His voice is so much more powerful than anyone else playing this role, too!
The best of many many beautiful deliveries of this heartwrenching song. Andy 's is every bit as subtle as Eddie Redmayne's and as theatrical as Michael Ball or Rob Houchen's. If he moved you with this video, check out his Hard Candy Christmas on youtube which is ALMOST as moving as HRH Dolly Partons and would be equal to hers if anyone could ever equal her.
alright doing the bridge with a ton of vibrato, and then approaching “beCAME” at 1:27 with straight-tone was the most masterful things i’ve ever experienced in my entire life. it’s like a cry or a scream.
I couldn't agree more! What an exciting period exhibiting pure control and range from his base at 0:54 the then the belt on "BeCAME" instantly hits you. A truly Masterful rendition.
I’ve been a huge fan of Andy for a long time but when I found out he was Marius I was a little skeptical. However after watching the bootleg I was very very wrong and his empty chairs made me weep.
Jorts Official I even told him how much I loved the way he played the role. At stage I told him how I never liked Marius(minus the book character) because I found him whiny. He automatically said in a whiny voice “whyyyyyy?!!!! All his friends just diiiieeeed!!!!” 😹 we couldn’t stop laughing and I was like “no! But like! The way you played it was just so real!”
Gotta say, I always knew Andy had done Marius, but always kinda thought "huh, that's an odd choice for his voice style", (and Andy himself said it was a difficult role for him - vocally) and have never seen anything he did in it... Yet, seeing this, he totally f**king NAILED IT. I always thought, out of him and Michael (his hubby), that Michael had the better "Broadway" voice... Yet, now having seen this... It's pretty damn close.
i have actually never seen another bootleg of the Les Mis Revival before and this looks like a completely different bootleg from the one i'm familiar with. is there a a full one of this particular show?
don't remember if this performance is from this specific bootleg but here's a full bootleg I have saved <3 docs.google.com/file/d/0BxR1sYJi_ne4cEZldWltTmpiQzA/preview?pli=1

Saw LM london 1985. This imagery was amazing for this song!
Who's the actor?
Grantaire holding Gavroche hand broke me

Very haunting. Stellar choreography, too.

Pitchy.
Pathetic!!!!!!!
andy darling i will never be over this
I loved his voice. That control and the way the scene was done very well.
Just my heart ....
Chilling performance
My favorite Marius 🎶🎊 Andy is perfect for this role although he is more used to Rock musicals

He and Rob Houchen are probably my fav Marius's. They're both criminally underrated.
Just for me 1:25 2:24
thanks me
1:26
damn Hartley can sing!
I see I'm not the only one who got here from that episode. All I can say is I regret nothing and now want Hartley to be part of the main cast
@@donttalktome6878 I really hope he comes back because there fighting Godspeed soon and the last time they did Hartley helped so I really hope he joins the cast
@@Caitlinmperry yes it would make so much sense and him to have a redemption arc where him and Cisco become friends. Also I low-key Stan Roderick

I actually feel this Marius. He's not a character I've ever really cared for, but Andy is powerful vocally and artistically.
EXACTLY! Andy makes me like Marius
Yes!

Anybody know why they changed the key of the song??
he couldn't hit the really low note i believe so they changed the key
oH MY GOSH I LOVE HIM

And that's not to mention the scoop into belt on "friends" at 2:26 straight into vibrato on "don't". Chills, literal chills.
확실히 다른 사람들관 다른 자기 감성... 이런 마리우스도 있군..
I’ve been a huge fan of Andy for a long time but when I found out he was Marius I was a little skeptical. However after watching the bootleg I was very very wrong and his empty chairs made me weep.
I’ve been listening to the Spanish version so much that I thought he messed up the lyrics lol
heart wrenching <3
Pied piper is Marius??!!! HOLY SHIT HE JUST GOT BETTER FUCKKK
I first heard of Andy in the Flash. Now I can’t see nothin but the pied piper singing. Help me somebody 😭😂
Brightskin_Beauty i was the opposite. I heard of him from Les Mis and DWSA and was like ‘so Marius is a gay villain?’
This comments section is my favourite thing because now Hartley to me is just an angsty gay theatre kid lol
Absolutely beautiful staging.
Would this be considered tenor or baritone?
Saul Parra andy is a proud baritenor
I was extremely lucky to see Andy portray Marius in this production, and he really poured his heart out!
Anyone know where I can find a good video go Ramin Karimloo singing “bring him home?”
He kinda sucks.
who hurt you
I'll kindly disagree
I really appreciate that he played this more traumatized and survivor’s guilt. So many people go just sad and it was really a lovely performance

Yup true
I'm crying so much right now I love this scene and now it's being done by Andy

This is so good it makes you forget that he was wearing heels and about that time he fell down the stairs...
Lmao
I cannot stop thinking about it

I would pay a lot of money to see footage of that
Can someone tell me the story behind this thread?
i have actually never seen another bootleg of the Les Mis Revival before and this looks like a completely different bootleg from the one i'm familiar with. is there a a full one of this particular show?
Leaving comment as I'm also interested.
