Industries, such as mining, textiles and ceramics - to name a few -, make a significant contribution to the Moroccan economy. But, the country's industrial sector is almost entirely dependent on fossil fuel imports.
For Morocco to meet its 2030 commitments, around half of the reductions in greenhouse gas emissions will need to come from industry.
To help get there, Morocco is expanding training on industrial energy efficiency. This is being done on a large enough scale to make a meaningful difference.
