      The Codex Gigas, the largest medieval manuscript, contains texts from the Bible, history, medicine, and magic. Known as the "Devil's Bible" due to a large illustration of the Devil and a legend claiming it was written with the Devil's help, it remains a symbol of knowledge and mystery. Today, it is preserved in the National Library of Sweden.

      The use of a black-and-white image was intended to create a nostalgic feel and connect to the past. However, the modern photo was chosen to emphasize the blend of old and new aesthetics.

      Thank you for the feedback! Casa Milà, or La Pedrera, is a masterpiece of Antoni Gaudí, and its unique architectural design can be overwhelming to describe at first glance. The intention might have been to emphasize its groundbreaking approach, but I understand how that could feel repetitive. The beauty of this structure is its flowing, nature-inspired forms, innovative use of light and space, and the way it breaks away from conventional architectural norms. It’s truly a gem worth exploring, and I’ll aim for clearer and more engaging openings in the future! 😊🙏

    Hey ripoff you said there was a secret ...whats the secret?

    • @HISTORYTUBEEE
      @HISTORYTUBEEE หลายเดือนก่อน

      The "secret" of Cloud Gate, also known as "The Bean," lies in its extraordinary design and craftsmanship. While it looks like a single seamless piece of polished steel, it’s actually made up of 168 stainless steel plates welded together with incredible precision. Another hidden feature? Its concave underside creates a "funhouse mirror" effect that distorts reflections, offering a unique perspective every time you look at it. That’s the magic behind this iconic masterpiece! 😊

  • @karenbressler4716
    @karenbressler4716 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @HISTORYTUBEEE
      @HISTORYTUBEEE หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s an interesting comparison, but the fascination with "The Bean" (Cloud Gate) goes beyond simple attraction to shiny objects. This stunning piece of public art by Anish Kapoor captures attention due to its unique design, seamless reflective surface, and ability to engage viewers by mirroring the cityscape and themselves. It’s less about being "bird-brained" and more about experiencing an interactive connection with art and architecture! 😊

    photocopy machine is the only way this was possible

    • @HISTORYTUBEEE
      @HISTORYTUBEEE หลายเดือนก่อน

      Completely correct, but research has shown that the Codex Gigas was entirely handwritten. Expert analysis of the script and text confirms that it was created by a single person. The precision and speed required to produce such a masterpiece in that era are astonishing, and there is no evidence of modern technologies like photocopying being involved.

    I’m pretty sure the book was then put in a library and people didn’t think of it as much. Then apparently the library went on fire burning 12 pages of the book. After that it was transferred to a new library where suddenly one night the workers there thought that everyone had gone to their homes, but they didn’t realize that one man was locked in there. He thought that it’s alright he would survive the night, but suddenly all the books started floating and the devils bible/the codax was put in the middle. That’s when the book started to get some recognition. They found this out because the worker who had saw this got put into a mental hospital for his life. The myth is that those 12 pages had the answers to summon the devil

      The Black Stone, or Hajar al-Aswad, is a sacred relic in Islam located in the eastern corner of the Kaaba in Mecca. Muslims touch or kiss it as part of the pilgrimage rituals during Hajj and Umrah. According to Islamic tradition, the stone was sent from paradise and placed in the Kaaba by the Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael when they rebuilt it. The Black Stone holds immense spiritual significance, symbolizing faith and devotion to God, rather than material or scientific importance. For millions of Muslims, it represents a direct connection to the history of monotheism and the worship of Allah.

      Yes, the tattoos on Ötzi's body differ from modern ones. Instead of decorative designs, they likely had symbolic or therapeutic purposes. Studies suggest these markings were used for pain relief or spiritual significance, highlighting a more functional and ritualistic approach compared to contemporary tattooing practices.

    • @HISTORYTUBEEE

      The Narmer Palette is dated to around 3100 BCE based on archaeological evidence and artistic style. The engravings and texts on the palette reflect the unique characteristics of Egypt's early unification period, and the name "Narmer" aligns with other sources like the Palermo Stone. Its discovery in Hierakonpolis and confirmation through modern scientific methods further support this dating.
