Sea duck hunting the Chesapeake Bay
Sea duck hunting the Chesapeake Bay on a pretty rough windy day while the puddle duck hunting was slow here in MD. We ended up doing pretty well ending 1 duck shy of our 3 man limit. Ended up shooting Common Scoter, Surf Scoter, and Buffle head.

Do you use plastic crawfish or creature plastic as trailers for your chatterbaits?
I usually stick with a 3-3.5 inch swimbait trailer fry my chatterbaits cause they love to short strike so I like the tail right behind the hook

Gents don't forget to run your chatter without a trailer, just naked. Or add a trailer hook if you're missing strikes. Tight lines.
Win R personally I like running a very short trailer. But if getting short strikes absolutely pull that sucker off and or add a trailer hook 👍🏻

I don’t mind sharing spots normally but with this I can just see kayaks lined up as far as the eye can see just scooping and shooting snakeheads all day everyday.of course this only went on for about a week but still

Looks like a freaking salmon run 😂 were those gizzard shad mixed in with them? The WR Northern Snakehead was probably in that school those were some big ones. So cool and strange 😂
Man I gotta say I know nothing about shad but I believe they were hickory shad but definitely could have been gizzards. And yea it was nuts to see. Wasn’t aware snakeheads would do anything like that!

Is that water shallow or do northerns like to hang out in the deeper water?
swkelley all shallow water usually catch them between 1ft to 5ft once it starts getting cold they will move alittle deeper in late fall and winter
Cool. Gonna have to head up there and get on some of those northerns one day. I live in South Florida and my favorite fish to target is the bullseye snakehead.
Have you tried the Zman Freedom chatterbait? Check it out. It has a swivel head and you can change the hooks out.

Well worth the extra money with the swiveling head and being able to replace the hook.
