Krio people are black Americans
I do not stand by that
Damn your beautiful
Ok! So a white guy has the right to ask a black guy, why is he with a white woman ? No! Therefore a black woman has no right to ask a white woman why is she with a black man. Black women and white men are the most hostile towards white women and black male relationships.

Krios who are not Christians are called Aku marabou
Good evening ma'am, just a quick question, is there any TH-cam channel that teaches you more on how to cut a print? That what I do but want to improve more but I have search almost every where on TH-cam but cant find any, please if you know of any help a sister out.
How about just asking your spouse...? Everyone's inexperienced at some point in life.
We the Fullah are the foundation of the Sierra Leone economy so for the Krios and their western mentality is all up to them cus they still believe they are slaves(from Lusburg Alusine Barrie).
you liar
Mmmmmm placas, yummy.
Elitism breeds haters and hatered
Differentiate between a Creole and Krio.
Same thing. ‘Krio’ is the Sierra Leonean variant.
i was born in the US but grew up in sierraleone all i could say is getting married having a family is a must just like going to school everybody has a role to play man and woman having kids out of wedlock is hard onthe kids and gives the woman a bad reputation, higher education is just a skill set that get you a job, that does not mean you should neglect your other job at home the whole race is dependent on you, without you their is no next generation
My Sister ,you are right. The Education and separation ,from the none Krioles our parents gave us, was not the right thing to have Done. Sho-Sawyerr, Nova scotia African Decendant.
Henry Shorunkeh-Sawyerr Nova Scotians originally came from the U.S. and Jamaica
There are Krios/creoles who are not Christians, the muslims counterparts are in Fourah Bay, Foulah Town and Aberdeen and they called .the Akus.
Av never seen a krio who's not a Christian..fourabays are not krio people
Krio until l grow .Remember the WEST disturbed us with religion. Now look properly who is being disturbed by the WEST it is now - country people- trade /religion. PLease stop selling out your land to white man, if you consider us as not part of SL, CREATOR beauty land to . We Krios learnt from the Whites and their tricks -bitter bitter- that is why we appear to differ. WE ARE ON > LEARN FROM US for sake of children future. think

It's fine dating other races, but honestly lets talk about dating in the black community. As a black man I find it a little disturbing how we think dating another race is an accomplishment.
Brandon Mccrakin Its cuz of how black women are portrayed in the media. The media is a very powerful thing. I blame that all too familiar “I don’t need a man; I can do anything all by myself” bit. Ever since that shit was programmed into all of us; that’s what we see every time we turn on the TV. But really, its the independent strong women thing that screwed it up. Now all u see on TV is strong hard head African american females that make it almost impossible to approach. While the rest of the races seem more down to earth with positive vibes. Not saying that this applies to everyone; but I’m telling you my opinion. That TV is hell on a bun, and everyone is being fed that crap. It is very, extremely disturbing.
Proud of you, Shenelle! You truly are an awesome young lady and a fine example of a godly woman - love you!
lol these kids dont even make money.. i order mine online on release day
monogamy is silly anyway...watching too much tv
What the Fuck?
Yeah, the krios considered themselves different from other people in Sierra Leone. And they think they are better than others in the country. But really the bring of the slaves(krios) into our country has a very big negative impact to Sierra Leone. Because they still believe the fact that they don't belong to Sierra Leone so they are not involved in any form of development in that country instead they just rip the country's wealth and take it to countries like England, USA, Gambia...etc. and so on. The krios in Sierra Leone are the breeding tribe of corruption. For instance, you will see a krio man working at a government office,( say electricity house), and his salary LE 100,000, but his children are in London, he is paying their accommodation and tuition fees in Pounds at their respective universities. Where is he getting the money? Secondly, krios don't do anything better in that nation even their houses, until quite recently, just after the civil war, majority of their houses were burnt down in Freetown by the rebels, they started to construct nice concrete houses but before we used to identify them by their colonial houses (board house structure). The mistake the government of Sierra Leone always does is when they give the position of the Freetown city council chairmanship position to the krios. During the SLPP, the krio Freetown city council chairman embezzled million pounds and ran to London. During the first face of this new APC, the krio city council chairman also embezzled three-fourth of the money for the Victoria park mall construction project in Freetown and went on to construct chicken-nest stores. Looking activities of the krios in the past governments since colonial days, (being the first elites of the nation) and their interests in other countries other than Sierra Leone is really a curse to have them in Sierra Leone. And people like us even wonder if their are any trustworthy krio people remain in the country these days. So when a krio man or woman is proud in Freetown, we just look at him or her and say " mixture of the mixture" ( meaning mixture of countries and mixture of tribes. That is they don't know where they come from, that why they think they are special).
Palmira Mangae I don't mean to offend you too, neither do I mean to hurt any of the krios or been tribal sentiment, but we should learn to face the bull by the horns as people always say. I am just buttressing the fact that the krios contribute 60% to the downfall Sierra Leone and I highlighted just two out of the 75 major cases since colonial days. And you are saying why do I have to write this on the internet. My Sierra Leone sister, I can publish this topic on any site or even have a debate on national television. The krios been the first elites of the nation since colonial days and even after independent they hold three-fourth of the key positions of the country, do they actually focus on national development? The answer is big no. Instead they segregate themselves from the rest of the people, they introduce tribalism by focusing only on tribal development. They introduce fraternities and sororities (log) in the country where in they have to take an oath that they should only be in favor of their tribal men, relatives, and friends . They provoke the languages and cultures of the other tribes by giving names like "contry" man or boy. I attendend the Sierra Leone Grammar School which is a typical krio school with the exception of me and some few students that are not krios, the rest of students used to call us contry boys because that's how they are nurtured. They have to separate themselves from us. That why we design a perfect name that suit them which is " mixtures of the mixtures" which means mixtures of tribes, mixtures of countries, and mixtures of cultures. So, when people are talking about krio culture, I just don't see any one unique culture possess by them at all. You mentioned that " Yes, their children tend to go to schools abroad; same as many temnes, konos, mendes, etc, etc. So what is wrong with a quality education? Has that now become a crime in Sierra Leone? " But you forget the fact that Sierra Leone used to be the Athens of Sub-Saharah Africa, we had the first University, Fourah Bay College, 1827. It was managed by 90% of the first elites of Sierra Leone, the krios. If they actually maintain the educational standards of the country, there is no need for a any Sierra Leonean to send his or her child abroad while other nations come to Sierra Leone to get quality education. Take a look at countries like Ghana, Nigeria..etc. where in most of their old elites attended F.B.C and up to these days in these countries, graduates from F.B.C. still cherish their moment and proud of being graduates from this unique university. By the way, I am also a graduate of F.B.C. Today,go to Ghana and see students are coming from all over the world, students from the US, UK Canada..etc. to study medicine, engineering, law...etc. We were far ahead these countries. The Athens of Sub-Sahara Africa, Sierra Leone, has depreciated to below zero standards. Who should we blame other than the first elites of the nation. Sending the children abroad for better education has good impact to the country, but the negative one suppresses the good to Sierra Leone. for instance, most of these students went on scholarship our country pays their tuition & logging fees, and when they finish their studies, they find themselves in developed countries like the US, UK , Canada...etc. And they never try to come back home and contribute towards national developments. Instead they return home when they are already dead. Mother Sierra Leone is always on the loser 's side. But very soon we will start to throw their corpses into the Atlantic ocean. You see, if you are an elder sister or brother do not start bad havoc , your baby sisters or brothers will do the same and the blame goes to you. And when we start to accept our faults then that the only time when we will try to change those attitudes and strive for the betterment of our sweet country. No hard fillings, but this is the truth!!!!!!!!!!
@ Racca Soko are you hating on us Creoles? Because we made Sierra Leone so thats why we have power in Government jobs. And we clearly know where we come from a majority of us are from the Yoruba tribe and some Creoles may have igbo ancestry , we didn't choose to.come to Sierra Leone was forced from our home so get your facts straight. If it wasnt for us Creoles you wouldn't be speaking Krio or be educated. And we are proud of course because we have done alot of good things in Sierra Leone if it wasnt for us Fourah Bay College wouldn't be built and they you go running your teeth at us. God bless all my Creole people worldwide Ekushe Kabor
Bisodun YorubaBorbor, I don't hate you people neither do I hate anyone, but I am just highlighting some of the reasons why our country remain backward, and who are the contributors towards the backwardness of Sierra Leone. You said you (the krios) have done lots of good things in Sierra Leone, please substantiate with examples some of the good things you have done for the country. As far as I know, you have done nothing at national level other than introducing tribalism and tribal development in the country. The tribalism that is in the country today was introduce by the krios far back since colonial days. Looking at the land scope of the country and resources we have, Sierra Leone suppose to be among the richest countries in the world. But are we still poor because of your attitudes. If I could cote what you said from your expression " If it wasn't for us Creoles you wouldn't be speaking Krio or be educated".Please explain how you (the krios) contributed towards my education and towards me speaking the language. Because there are lots of my mates in my village who never went to school, and don't know how to speak English or krio. What contributions have you done towards me. You see, brother from the same country, If you cannot express yourself I prefer you abstain from this argument.
Racca Soko , We Creoles brought alot of culture into Sierra Leone if it wasnt for us none of your country folks would be wearing clothes, speaking krio, being civilized in general. Am not trying to act like we are better but its the fact ''WE MADE SIERRA LEONE'' country people talk down on us saying we dont know where we come from but hey thats what your think our culture hunting nowadays you dont even see alot of Creoles in it, its full of bunch of country people from all over and your saying negative stuff about us we dont hate on nobody. And lets talk about Education all of Sierra Leone wouldnt be Educated today if it wasnt for us we made Fourah Bay College and we are strong in the Education system in Sierra Leone so you cant go there on us. Not to sound a bit tribalist but back then your was not Educated buddy, didnt know how to write, talk a proper word, and today you see alot of country folks trying to imitate us saying ''Mi Na Creole'' wholetime they mende, or some other tribes and your saying we dont have no strong influences. Haha dont even go there with corruption half of the people that is Sierra Leone money is your own kind so blame your own country men dont blame the Creoles because we did alot of part in Sierra Leone so thats why you barely see us in power because we dont no part in it. And thats how Sierra Leone is fucked up today because of your country people your brought the war in Sierra Leone 2 your started cutting people hands off and 3 your sold half of Sierra Leone minerals to foreign countries. We do not sellout Sierra Leone because we was born there and we try to take care of the country but your people dont appreciate it and your eat all the money that suppose to go the economy. I rather represent Nigeria where my ancestors from because Sierra Leone is my adoptive land I was born there but am not too proud of it because of the sick people that lives there.
Bisodun YorubaBorbor The last time I told you if you cannot express yourself stay off the argument. From your expression it clearly exposes facts that you are not one of the true kroi descendants of Sierra Leone. The true Krios in Sierra Leone have no African related cultures. They came from the western world (US and UK) with the white man conservative culture; they introduce fraternities(luge), sororities, wherein they have to take oaths with their blood that they will only help their fellow tribal men and families, in the country. They segregate themselves from the rest of the Sierra Leoneans and focus on tribal development thereby introducing tribalism in Sierra Leone. You said if it wasn't you, the krios, our people would not have clothes to wear. This statement shows how your thinking ability is far below standards. Let me ask you a simple question, how many countries received the repatriated slaves in west Africa? Well, in case you don't know there are only two countries, Sierra Leone and Liberia. And these countries are the list developed in west Africa because of the negative impact of the slaves.Other countries which did not receive slaves are far ahead of us and they even put on better clothes. You said you made Sierra Leone, but in reality,it is you that destroy the country because you were the first educated people in the Sierra Leone during independent,75% of government officials were the krios, in stead of you focus on national development, you only focus on developing your tribe. You are the breeders of all corruption in the country. When it comes to embezzlement of national funds the krios top the chart. FBC which was called the Athens of west Africa depreciated to zero level all because of your selfishness. People imitate you the krios not because they want to be like you, but because it is very easy to be a krio in Sierra leone. Even foreigners from other countries like Ghana, Nigeria are all krios today because they can speak the language. You don't have unique culture at all. As for us the country men for you to be one of us is not a day's job. We have unique languages and cultures. When you talk about real cultures in Sierra Leone, we look at the poro, wandey, sande, gbangbny, geledeh, ojeh, bondo, jolley..etc hunting is considered the list among them. By the way, where did you bring hunting, from the US or UK? You are not a krio, but a lost Nigeria who find himself in a free country like sweet Sierra Leone. No wander you have chosen to represent Nigeria. But I, a true son of that soil will never forsake my country and put any other country first.
Please come out and support, a natural hair event "Curls Gone Wild After Hours Mixer" October 12,2013 Thanks Sandra
Crazy stuff! The nonsense thats kept them as fools- you only have to listen to the hight of naivety. I can't believe the feeling of elitism and ethnocentrism. These people are idiots! Just listen to them.
Huh! Oh wow! Nice documentary and yet very sad. But! If everyone decides to give up on finding that special one then humanity as a whole is lost. I guess this is why LGBT are striving. Yet, I don’t think this was the intension of the Almighty-Creator. A suggestion - may be if both sexes decide to hold off from having sexual relation until after marriages’ - perhaps we might stand a better chance of finding that special somebody. Oh well - Best of luck and never give up hope! Peace!
Black love!!! :)
awwww lovee
I sure did have some weak moments and called. I had one-sided conversations with voicemail.
yes!! you know how much i looooooove PIMA!
Here is my take 1. Many black woman are not honest about their sexual history to their daughters. ( creating a the cycle of single mothers ) 2. Many black woman leverage their sexuality in seeking love from a man ( children are used has leverage to keep poor candidates for family building ) 3. Lack of fathers in the house hold. ( Fathers demand more sexual accountability from daughters ) 4. Sexual Trauma in childhood. ( creating dysfunctional sexual behaviors ).
Yeah definitely variety is the spice, in media and culture and how characters/personalities need to be more and more real to the complexities of actual life. Sure stereotypes/cliches can be comfortable or even okay for background, but actual foreground focus is wasted if it's same old brush strokes and no actual richness of full life. Oh and I hear you on the nomad thing too, and making that affordable is the challenge for sure.
@blckking45: Thanks for your advice, but I'll stick to my BC for now. I have no interest in raising a child in a world where black boys are described as: strong and talented. And black girls are described as: dumb, self-hating, horny, and slutty. As if girls/woman are just sleeping with each other. Please be apart of the solution!
Separated themselves from which people? Are they people? Krios have extended themselves to "natives" for generations (although once GEOGRAPHICALLY and still POLITICALLY & LEGALLY separated) and have received nothing but hate and resentment in return. You don't know anything. It's not about education or religion. It's about decorum. Without Krios Sierra Leone would be like Eastern Congo LOL
mama nayo.....did you go to congo to speak about it?why don't you chek it out in google?please why don't you leave africa and go back to your country in the nebraska or somwhere esle?
This is all old Skool, this day and age it don't matter Krio susu Temne Mende all na wan.
I'm embarrassed! My people are from here, brought over and survived slavery for generations! The Krio took the colonialist attitude and separated themselves from their OWN people. "What does it mean to be Krio? We are educated elitists." They are proud of that AND call themselves Christians!
Thank you for this. I passed that line, too, and wondered what the hell it was for, but I didn't bother to ask. Probably because I was afraid of the answer.
What's the point for these comments - we are all God's people. You sound like a racist in modern day society. In every people, we do have the good and the bad. One Love!!!
Either Krios are still pushing this diplomatic/politically correct act or they are not telling their children the truth. Similarly Native people are not telling their own more civilized children the truth and why they choose not to return to Gbangbatoke and the rest of their native villages. That truth & major difference is FGC/BONDO. Bondo is the main religion/culture in native SL. 90% of the female populace undertake it. And before JUNKS (2nd Hand Clothing) most Natives were tying lappa daily.
To add to the previous postings, I think politicians have a major role to play in creating ladders of opportunities for all citizens. Corruptions need to be address and to do so, I believe citizens need to peacefully protest when politicians do not carry out the promises they made prior to election and when politicians choose favoritism and self-interest above national interests.
Attention should be improve the health and quality of live for every Sierra Leonean. The whole nation's interest should be considered above all. Focusing only on certain segment of the Sierra Leone population can only undermine the progress done thus far. Emphasis should be on economic equality, which can only be achieved through quality education, the foundation of a nation's economic success and development. Politicians should put aside their personal interests and put the people's interest 1
Stop tribalism alright. I am already tired of it. You eat the same food, live in the same country, breath the same air, go to similar schools, have the same goals for raising children and hope for the future. Why then focus too much on divisiveness and hatred. The last thing sierra Leone people want now is tribal war or prejudices. The brutal civil war of 1990-2002 was caused tremendous problems and pains on the lives of so many. So, enough. So, let move forward already. Focus should be on Peac
Please please please,a politcal war has just ended in our country,Thank God.So we need no tribal, nor class or coloured differences. We should be talking about peace and love and tight oneness. This video is not helpful towards development for Sierraleoneans. Please take down this video others gonna get mad when viewing it. Thanks
o dear...lets unite people.
Thanks for posting!
waiting in line? theyre even camping out bro .. sleepin over night thats crazyyy
I wonder how important is culture when you disagree with your own culture? Is that a bad thing?
