I just followed your T/S steps. Thank you for doing this video!!! While checking for Ohm’s I’m only getting .4-.5 on each connection. Safe to say it’s a stator?
@koaalex636 Each stator will be different. Depends on how many windings they have. Really, what you are looking for is consistency between all 3. And no continuity to ground. I would also check VAC output on each. Looking for 10-30VAC on each depending on RPM. If all that checks out, stator is good.
@@koaalex636 Also, thanks for watching!
@@MikesPowersportsService it’s not starting at all so can’t check VAC. I’ve had an issue with it saying Lo Batt for a while but usually can it it turned on with a jump pack. Now it just cranks and no start, still has Lo batt on display. Battery is good. Swapped battery out with other canam to make sure.
Sound like it has no spark now. Verify that, then you need to check the pick coil output. And verify the three charging coils are not grounded out.
@@MikesPowersportsService just changed spark plugs. Rear did not have spark but does with new one. Sprayed some starter fluid and no joy. Ran fine just last night. Have been having low power issues, takes a while to warm up and would stall but once warm seem to run fine. But now won’t start at all. Cranks then I get the Lo batt display
Why is my belt a mofo going back on. The sheave doesn’t want to get back on because my belt tight lmao
Took me an extra second. It was gravy
@@richardhoward5221 You can separate the secondary sheaves by compressing the spring to let the belt go further down into it. This will give you enough slack to put it on easily.
do you have to part number for the clutch puller?

You could have put the cup in he freezer it would have slotted straight in the frame and also put the race in the oven or heat it up it will drop straight down the stem 😉 im doing my bandit tomorow but have done in many times on mx bikes
@@danhurley6152 Yes, you are right. Freezing races and heating the part they are going into works great!
How reliable are this sleds? How menny km can i get out of one, thinking aboute buying one second hand.
@Uteligger-ms8ex They are a 2 stroke, so it depends on how they are ridden. Anywhere from 5,000 to 12,000km. The top end can be replaced easily after they get wore out as well to give them a longer life.
Woo! Great video!
Thank you!
So you took the drive shaft loose from the crossmember to get the diff out? My bolt hits the frame too.
Yes, the driveshaft has to come out. You can lift that bolt that hits the frame up and over (towards the front) the "hook" that it is in.
Great job. Thanks. I think Im on deck to have to swap this on mine. Can I ask the symptoms of your transmission to need it to be replaced
@jdubya54 You're welcome! I pulled that one to inspect. Was getting a loud bang in 4X4. There was no problem in the trans mission after inspection. I would crack yours open before ordering a new one. I was surprised to see there was nothing wrong.
@ im thinking the primary isn't functioning properly. The belt keeps spinning the rear pulley pretty fast. Thanks for the video
Can the base of those splines be unbolted from transmission
The base of which splines? The output shafts?
I think my transmission is shot. Someone tried to pull a heavy trailer with it. Low works a little. High just grinds. Whats my beat option on a tebuilt transmission if anyone can help
@jdubya54 I am not sure on rebuilds. You could check Ebay for aftermarket transmission assemblies.
I see the plastic backing plate needs to come off I shoukd jave watched a little longer my bad
@@jdubya54 No problem! Thanks for watching!
Does the clutch have to come Off to remove transmission
@jdubya54 Yes, it does. Both the primary and secondary. Then, you can remove the back cover and have access to the mounting bolts.
Woot! Awesome!
Thank you!
Nice video!
@@heatherlove4337 Thank you!!

Orite pal I'm doing same job on my bike did ur top outer race sit proud of frame when seated
Yes, see 16 min 10 seconds in. It sticks up a bit all the way seated
@MikesPowersportsService is that normal or should it be flush with frame
@danielhancock3499 That is normal. There is a ridge it seats on. You will hear the tone change while hammering when it is seated.
OK thanks so it won't make a difference that the race sits about 1mm above frame
@danielhancock3499 Nope. If it is seated, it is OK. There is space in the cap and nut that covers it. It is designed this way.
I use Ducati. I saw you service it. It gave me knowledge about taking care of Ducati. Thank you for sharing knowledge.

Right on. I just rebuilt the 4 VB-43 Keihin carbs off of my '82 CB900F & I used a piece of pipe cleaner that I folded back the end of to double it up & make it wider to fit in. I put it in the end of a drill also, but didn't think to use any of my Wicked or Semichrome polish on it. Way to go, good job! (DAMMIT!!
