My hernia developed at the time of surgery. I had a loop colostomy. My surgeon said he wouldn’t do anything as long as the stoma worked. Mine is permanent. He did not really recommend a hernia saying be certain you don’t wear it too tight!

Iv never had one doctor give me the instructions and outs on this type of surgery. Your left to learn the hard way.

Is there a bag oe something to wear around your ostomy for when I do arobics in class to wear?

Can I use body powder or baby powder instead of ostomy powder? It helps a lot if I can save some $$$.

Try using Sure Seals over your skin barriers.

Does your bag get full of gas? Do plants get stuck and need manual cleaning? Try eating only meat for a few weeks and see if that makes it easier to manage.

It was mot because of leakage i now have granules around my stoma i have been patting with hot water and light soaps l do this to get all the poop😢 the old poop off me i cam not get. Bags too stay on so i break out more

I am so happiy that i live in Sweden. My storma materials are payed by ta money. I usually change everyday. Some Times up to 3 Times a day. And I dont need insurance. The surgeries was payed by The governent

I’m suffering from an extremely bad fungal infection on my stoma and don’t know what to do. I’m up at 3 am changing my osteomy of one day bc it was oozing my bag off my skin and I’ve been suffering through this for months now.
