The Ultium platform that underpins the 2023 GMC Hummer EV is flexible-in a good way! Not only is it off-road-worthy, but it also underpins the upcoming Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup with only minor changes to fit within the Silverado design, and the Ultium batteries and component set will be spread beneath a host of GM EVs in the future. With the Hummer being the, uh, ultimate Ultium vehicle so far, you're probably wondering how much it costs. Well, there are actually two GMC Hummer EVs; the first one, available now, is the 2022 EV pickup. Later, the 2024 Hummer EV SUV will arrive. Here we'll break down the two Hummers' prices, and while these are MSRPs (including destination charges), prices ultimately are set by dealers (these are sold through GMC stores)-which could mean the price will be whatever they can get away with. In June 2022, GMC announced pricing updates to the entire Hummer EV lineup, raising the MSRP across the board by $6,250 "due to the increase in the price of commodity parts, technology and logistics." Pricing of the Edition 1 Hummer EV pickup and SUV models are unchanged as those are already sold out. Customers who placed their reservations before June 18 will retain the previously advertised lower MSRP, but all customers after that date will pay the higher price.
