Excellent video! Good music, good pacing, and the ideas behind the moves are very enjoyable to see. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Brazil.
Thank you very much and glad you enjoyed it.
Awesome
"One wrong move and it's over" just happened Why didn't Black move the King back to where it was 💀 Oh wait nevermind
Yes, men in the background.
That move was played by Sir Richard Retí
@amarendra4547 That is right! The game took place between Richard Reti and Savielly Tartakower, and Richard Reti played the brilliant moves.
the fact queen could have taken then done a checkmate is insane
The black queen can't take since the king has two attacks on him counting the room and bishop
The oprea mate
What if the king move to e8 after the bisshop double check
Rd8#
The rock
Move the room to the other side of the board and it's checkmate cause they can't take the rook
If you play bishop g5 and not a5 then Rook D8 is checkmate
Can’t we move king back to e8
Rd8#
The rook can move to d8 and checkmate
Bro you take with knight😂
@JuanSieiraGarcia I don't think that is possible, because it's a double check.
😮
Music Name Please
Two legend's
Wait Bortnyk started with 1:30 and Magnus had 3:00 ?!!
@458scuderia Yes, such time control is known as 'handicap time' in chess. Time handicaps are most often practiced in blitz games. The weaker player receives more minutes than the stronger player, which is a better way to favor lower-rated players. In this game, Bortnyk started with 1:30, while Magnus had 3:00, even though Magnus is the stronger player.
Bortnyk berserked, which gives him more tournament points if he wins, but less playing time. However, Magnus decided not to do this. Each player can decide this at the beginning of the game.
Easiest trick joke/riddle I’ve ever heard
But you haven't answered it yet.
This is the Evergreen Game, a chess game played between Adolf Anderssen and Jean Dufresne
That is right.
Genuine question, why do y’all like playing chess when it seems like every game has already been played and you just have to remember moves from those games like a super computer? is the learning the fun part?
@@thomasfaraone4213no chess has only been fully solved for any 8 pieces on the board which takes up terabytes of data and remember chess notation is only a few letters long…
@thomasfaraone4213 Chess is far from being fully explored, even at the highest levels. While many classic games are studied, the vast number of possible positions (more than there are atoms in the observable universe) means there’s always room for new ideas and creativity. Players enjoy the challenge of outthinking their opponent, the beauty of tactical combinations, and the constant learning and improvement. It’s like solving a puzzle with endless possibilities!

It was Over confidence. ....should have castled
Who won?
@robertcooper1952 After Tal played pawn b2, Fischer resigned. Mikhail Tal won the match by resignation.
Wow. Magnus convincingly beaten.
Finally, a video that actually explains it. I hate those "find the brilliant move" videos.
It’s checkmate! Black king can’t move…
King takes a3 knight c2 mate
and king is forced to move a2
then rook h1 check
King is being checked and mated you can't move the rook when you are checked mate
king c3 ?
With this move you lose the queen
You would loose your queen
Can still move b4
Can't move its mate
knight attacks both of the squares
Probably the best game I've seen from a Magnus opponent.
Well Bortnyk is a really strong Chess player/GM and extremely strong at bullet and blitz!
A mutton biriyani is being served beyond the cross line.
😂 That's a hilarious answer! Not quite what I was looking for, but great try!
🎉🎉🎉 i am Indian
1:48 Be4 looks good here no?
He can just push pawn
Best game
The horse is Friday
The horse is named friday
The horse named friday
the bull/ horse named friday
How is that brilliant? I don't get it. White can now save his knight from the bishop by killing the queen.
Rook D1 is checkmate!!
D1 black queen , hacke
