still working on different 11 beat patterns. playing a MattOpan Handpan in D minor D-(F G) A (Bb) C D E F G A (Bb) C (D) breaking up 22 beats into 7 7 8 and 5 5 5 5 2. the looped groove is a 10 beat paradiddle with an added 1 beat at the end.

I think mine is out of tune. Not sure with variety and I tossed the box because it sounded so nice I forgitvto test the scale. 😢. Mine has the oval dents and says D1 on the cloth

thanks for your feedback. your the 3rd person to say this. I am meaning to make a better video but rarely have both celtic and Kurd at the same time. maybe this year I will make them together and make a clearer video. cheers, MattO.

Both in 440 hz. I do have a D celtic tuned to 432hz available at the moment. MattOpan.com

I am the maker and they are made with Australian nitrided steel.

They are both nitrided. I’ve just started a journey into the world of stainless and producing some really nice pans with it.

The first is Kurd and the second Celtic
kurd sounds like something on lower notes, right?
Kurd does feel a bit lower. Celtic has a hi C note whereas the Kurd finishes on the hi A note 3 semitones lower than the hi C.
You deserve more credit for thinking outside the box. Also you saved me 150.00 USD with making my own with materials I already have. Thank you 😊

I don't know who this Martin clown is, likely a competitor with very poor scruples but I have owned one of Matt's handpans for a couple of years now and it's solid as a rock. I also know others who have the same experience as me. Martin, you're the one who should be ashamed of yourself. That sort of behaviour is disgusting and you've only shamed yourself for the world to see. Well done muppet.
