I remember it being very difficult to play when I finally got around to trying it, but I kind of like how different it is. The clunkiness and the really bad artwork. It makes me appreciate the jump to SF2 that much more and how much attention to detail went in to SF2 as well.

I think I understand better than anyone else. It just happens tho tomorrow's video has a bit more advice in it, but this too shall pass. Every rut we are in, we eventually recover from, you just gotta play it out I guess.

Also, to answer your question, I am looking forward to Silent Hill 2 remake and Snake Eater. I'm giving Konami a lot of leeway here, and if these games fail its over for them.

Kojima, when left to his own devices, usually makes some really weird games. I still have no idea what death stranding is about at this point, and I'm too afraid to ask. Metal Gear Solid 3 was one of the last games he created that I consider a masterpiece. I'd say it would be hard to mess that up, but they messed up FF7 Remake, and the new Animal Crossing (IMO) so anything is possible. Fingers crossed these two games come out good.

It's very tough sometimes. There's two things I had to realize that helped me feel better about playing. Maybe it's copium, but Idc. I need it... 1) the other person isn't always trying to be toxic, some are, but most people are just trying to win. Just like you are. So, just Like you, they try to identify what their opponent (you) is doing, and adapt to your tendancies. If they figure you out and adapt, or you don't figure them out and adapt quickly enough, you often lose. 2) the Mr system is a bit whack under 1500. People of my skill level used to be found hovering around mid-1300 to low 1400, but this week it seems like those same people are hovering in the 1200's. That could change again next week and I boost to 1300/1400 again. The Mr is highly misleading underneath 1500, and very inconsistent.

I also decided that the master rank climb is not for me, so we'll be starting a new character in October.

Yes it did, they had to modify it tho as the Ps1 couldn't handle the 2v2 mechanics. I always wanted to play the arcade version tho and never got a chance to.

I've certainly had my share of getting upset, but I try real hard not to. This game is supposed to be fun, so lets have fun!

Very good points. After I finished today's video I realized that Chun Li has a sort of super jump air combo follow up so it kind of felt like this could happen. Plus with modern it would almost feel like it was an mvc game inside SF6. Kind of like how smash had different mechanics for different characters like Hero or Terry. We'll see how it plays out, rn I'm leaning towards it actually happening, or at least another capcom character with that mvc feel.

Gief with level 3 is definitely stressful, and getting hit by it when you know better is a recipe for depression lol.

While I do hate this style of play from Ryu or anyone, I find that it happens a LOT when people don't know how to deal with Lily's shenanigans. So I've had to learn to accept that it will happen more often. But that's Street Fighter for ya lol.

I agree, I got a bit impatient for sure, and I Def need to be more reactive to his command grab. I get hit by it too much and all I have to do is jump. I notice when I stay close to jp for too long, they tend to throw that out more.

Alot of the newer characters are getting "gimmicky" normals and specials. Moves that don't 'look' punishable but they are, you just have to find the gap or the counter. Akuma standing HK, Bison psycho crusher, and his jumping glowy hand thing. Bisons jump hand can be anti aired, but the timing is different. Not the same timing as a normal jump or even a dive kick so it gets frustrating. I hope they don't keep doing that, it makes the matchup harder to learn.

I mean, you're right. But we like to win. It gets harder to win when your opponent figures you out, but you can also play that mind game too. But it is just a game, try to have fun.

Lily is not really a grappler, having a command grape and be a grappler is not precisely the same. And Yuri has tons of options, having just one combo in a character with that many options its just sad.

@@MARMOTAEKUN lily still is not a combo intensive character. my point still stands that you probs shouldnt be flaming someone for only knowing one combo if your extent of combos is a button cancelled into a special, into a super. thats the definition of the pot calling the kettle black.

No shame is meant for the Juri. Sometimes all you need is one combo (I'm a prime example)

Very well said, and thank you for being respectful. That 1440 felt really good and it kind of led me to think I was entitled to that kind of rank. I'm not, and I like the feeling of getting better naturally with little training mode or replay viewing. I do watch tournaments and sometimes watch Hibiki and El Chakotay. I think it's coming together but it will be slower without those tools. Being a 1500 or 1700 isn't the main reason I started the channel, but if and/or when I finally get to that MR level, it will be a super nice bonus. I honestly thought I would cap at Diamond 1 with several characters in that rank, but it just kept going up with minimal effort. So I think it can still go up, it will just take longer. And I'm okay with that.

there's so many factors to consider, did I get easier opponents? do I now know how to deal with bogus strategies? am I too patient? am I not patient enough? did I forget everything good I was doing two days ago? Street fighter 6 has you questioning everything about your life lol

Kinda depressing to hear pros saying no one plays the game except the top .1 to 1 percent of players at high MR. I get what he’s saying in terms of “playing” meaning at an elite skill level but it also comes off as wildly out of touch w the vast majority of the player base who are apparently unaware that they don’t play SF.

I am inclined to agree with all of this. I think the 1300's are far more inconsistent, and dealing with that is very tough. Then you move up and it's a bit more consistent, but you still run into players on their way to the 1200's. Being able to adapt is key. But yea I've got a lot of work to do in order to understand every match up, but I'm learning.

It's almost never the controller. Consistency is hard

it is available on PS4, PS5, XB1, and Xbox series s. Guaranteed to run on that system with little to no hiccups. I always disliked PC games because of the issues I had with getting games to run, it's a better experience when you have the new stuff, but console is fine too if you're worried about performance or compatibility.

I could probably do them more quickly now, but the only reason I was able to do them so fast is because of how much time I've spent using her in ranked.

When you're right, you're right. I have to get out of doing something on wake-up. But I panic a lot. My current thoughts are that I probably won't get to 1600... but who knows? I don't plan on spending much time in the lab because I find it so boring, I just want to play, ya know? There's other characters and other aspects of the game I find fun.

I've noticed a few people already are doing things that I don't normally see. Like jumping backwards a lot, expecting a condor spire. I've been slowly recognizing things like this and formulating a gameplan, but that well runs DEEP with different tactics to counter Lily. I was even thinking a while back that maybe she IS a lower tier, and maybe that's true for a reason. So I guess we will see how deep that well runs. But Terry is coming out soon and I do wanna try him.

If I remember correctly, it had a rerelease on the original Xbox, but it was hard to play with that controller. I tried to get it running on an emulator and even that has it's challenges.

I hope so! This is the reason I was happy they brought back multiple supers. Variety in gameplay and strategy. It's more fun, And makes supers more than just a way to tack on damage.

Idk, I kind of like Lily. I wouldn't mind T Hawk joining as well, but lily is fun to play, I don't think I liked playing t hawk as much.
