Greetings Programmes, to my mediocre and fun channel.
Here you'll find a variety of videos taken across parts of Cumbria, and sometimes further afield from the past decade.
Theres none of those fancy intros, or telling you to like and subscribe in every video nonsense. Just good old fashion - record, edit and upload videos.
Expect a variety of videos, mainly around railways, buses and trips recorded between 2013-present day, where possible I'll include dates and info, if I remember what is it.
Some videos on here will be older videos taken when I started recording stuff, so the quality will be a bit poor, but to be expected on phones of the mid 2010s.
There will also be the occasional model build videos for Modeling Monday. Which are uploaded when I have time to build them.
So grab the popcorn, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Rawcliffe MAN, Tebay to Seascale abnormal load move at A66 Bridgefoot Roundabout
The third load to move to Seascale by Rawcliffe. It was ment to be moved on the 7th but owing to Storm Darragh, the A66 was shut to high-sided vehicles over the weekend.
It was by chance that as I left Keswick on the X4 bus to Workington, I saw the load passing at a roundabout, i was straight on to Google Maps to track it, by Cockermouth the bus was ahead of the load, after a debate, I got off near the roundabout and walked down to it and saw a police car parked up. Within a couple of minutes, the convoy of police and escort vans appeared. So a quick hop to the traffic island to get a clear shot of the load passing.

Modelling Mondays: Italeri Scania R144 'Eddie Stobart' Part 3, Cab build. Part 2 will follow
มุมมอง 46914 วันที่ผ่านมา
So skipping ahead here. Part 2 isn't missing, At the time of editing, I had yet to finish the chassis, which ironicly I ended up finishing after I uploaded this video. So the cab, the cab went together reasonably well, the interior was done in a basic grey, while the cab was painted in matt green then Humbrol Emerald green, using a Corgi model as a guide. Next step will be finishing the cab and...

New Stadler stock on the Glasgow Subway, October 2024.
มุมมอง 2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
A quick look at the new Stadler built stock on the Glasgow Subway. This is the 3rd set of trains the railway has had since it opened in 1890s, the first set of trains, originally cable hauled before being converted to electric power, ran unti the 1960s. The railway was overhauled over a couple of years with new trains introduced to replace the ageing fleet of 1890s stock, the new trains built b...

Modelling Mondays; Italeri 'Eddie Stobart' Scania R144. Part 1: Chassis and Engine.
มุมมอง 7Kหลายเดือนก่อน
After years of waiting, I finally got hold of my holy grail kit, 1999 Italeri Scania R144 and trailer in Eddie Stobart livery, the first kit I ever worked on with my dad when it was released. I worked on it on and off over the years until early 2000s. For past couple years I've often searched for one at a good price, earlier this year I found this complete kit for sale on eBay, I took a chance ...

A brief trip to Leeds and Keighley, Ocotber 4th 2024. A day of unplanned travel
มุมมอง 432 หลายเดือนก่อน
Well the plan was to head to Carlisle from Workington, down to Leeds, then on to Preston and back up to Barrow then Workington. Unfortunately that didn't plan out. So it was a quick visit to Leeds then up to Keighley and back to Carlisle. First we see a 156 leaving Workington with 0640 to Barrow. At Carlisle see 68033 and xxxxxx on Kingmoor to Sellafield, followed by DRS 66 on Crewe Bas Hal to ...

Part two of the Kamaz build. Having sat on my work bench for 6 months, I bought a spray can of Tamyia dark blue and sprayed the chassis and body. Only to find I did the body the wrong shade, so I bought a can of French Blue by Tamyia and sprayed the body. I picked out the details on the chassis with acrylic paints, I thought I had filmed the cab build but didn't find the videos, the cab was a e...
Modelling Mondays Zvezda 1:35 Kamaz Dakar truck. chassis build. a video 8 month in the making
มุมมอง 2052 หลายเดือนก่อน
Usually I upload videos as I'm building, but this time. I have uploaded the two parts of this build after I finished the build. I had started this build in January, but within minutes, I knocked my glue over and decided to give up while the fumes cleared. It would be the following month when I started again. Building the chassis and cab with the aim of spraying it when it warmed up. It would be...
Modelling Mondays; Airfix GMC Deuce and a half. another kit from my childhood.
มุมมอง 1.4K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Another kit from my childhood, the Airfix deuce and a half. I built this kit over 20 years ago but being a total and unexperienced novice, I used pva glue to build it, the kit was covered in glue marks. I never painted it and ended being binned. The memory of that kit stayed with me, and earlier in the year, I was given the exact kit I built. One thing I don't remember is how fiddly the chassis...
Modelling Mondays, Tamyia Cheiftan full build. Finally finished the Scammell project
มุมมอง 5253 หลายเดือนก่อน
A quick 3 day build of the Tamyia MkV Cheiftan. This was a straight build as there was forecast of around 22 degree heat in West Cumbria, so I wanted to make quick use of the heat. The model was built up in a day and in the afternoon, I sprayed it in the sun which allowed for quick drying. Only other painting was the rubber tyre, barrel cover and details. The tracks came off my 2020 built Cheif...

มุมมอง 4913 หลายเดือนก่อน
My first attempt at a custom repaint of a diecast. The Van is a unpainted model produced by Corgi Trackside, these were sold in packs of 5 with different vans in each, all in white primer. this one was never painted by me, and placed in a box with rest of my model railway stuff. This was over 15 years ago. Fast forward to 2024, and when looking at photos of buses online, I saw a photo of a loca...

Very nice, do they feel small inside!?
They do feel a bit more spacious inside compared to the Met Cam units, especially when looking down the units inside and being able to see to end of the train.
Nice work so far. It is interesting to see the differences with the European trucks. Thanks for sharing.
Looking great matey..I don't mind the truck builds 👍 .. looking forward to the next stage.. cheers
Have a great build. 🚚
The build is looking good my friend, I wish I had the roo to build some of these big truck kits, looking forward to the next update soon, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
I'm hoping to find some extra shelf space by time I have this big unit built, as it's rather big when trailer is built.
Thanks for sharing this great video, I really emjoyed seeingbthese old buses taking people for a ride, I was lucky enough to haveca ride on a double decker while in London some years ago, it was one of the highlights of the trip, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Glad you enjoyed it, I had hoped to film more buses during the day, but spent more time travelling on two during the day. The bus at the end is one I helped restore with the bus group I voulnteer with, helped to restore 8 buses now in 10 years.
This is a fantastic place to visit, highly recommended. Would love the opportunity to drive one of these old buses.
Good evening my friend, thst truck looks absolutely fantastic, all it needs niw is a good dose of weathering, and thst will be the fun part, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
I was tempted to weather it, as much as I love it looking pristine, a few dusting of dusty browns will finish it, I might just have to get another one and weather it.
Good evening my friend, this is going to be a beast in 35th scale, congratulations on the great effort, and that is the thing with this hobby, life does tend to get in the way, looking forward to the next update soon, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
It is definitely a beast and certainly stands out in the collection, if only it was 1:24 scale. There is a couple of kits in my stash that I started and gradually lost interest or said to myself, I'll finish it one day.
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Friday, 20 September, 2024) EDITED This 1:72nd-scale kit of the GMC CCKW 353 U.S. Army 2.5-ton 6×6 cargo truck is a far better kit than I had anticipated. Thanks! I would like to place it in a queue with Tamiya’s 1:48th- and 1:35th-scale kits of the hardy lorry as they pass along a winding road through the European (Italian? French?) countryside. Perhaps an earlier Airfix 1:72nd-scale kit of a Battle Of Waterloo Farmhouse (04738) (actually, I would endeavour to incorporate several, scattered over the area) might serve as a backdrop in the middle distance. Years past had I begun a generally similar diorama, albeit all in 1:72nd-scale, combining two of these Farmhouse arrangements, with an assortment of U.S. Army vehicles, including a couple of Willys Overland M-32A U.S. Army ¼-ton 4×4 general purpose light utility trucks (Jeeps), a pair of GMC cargo trucks (I had wanted an entire column of twenty--or more!), an M16 half-track with a Maxton Mount Quad 50-calibre machine-gun, all steadily approaching an outer stone wall . . . .
It is a decent kit, I only really remember building the body and cab, back some 10-15 years ago. I do fancy building a larger scale version now. It sounds like a good diorama you have planned up, I was in the process of building a WW1 trench diorama of 3 Mk4 tanks crossing a German trench, but that slowly drifted to the back burner.
excelente trabajo, que tipo de pinturas utilizas
Thank you, I used tamyia acrylic as under coat, and a jar of Poppy Red Enamel I bought over 8 years ago at a bus rally. Not sure of brand of it
te quedo genial, felicitaciones, donde puedo conseguir el kit
wow
That was a fantastic build, it certainly is a beast of a kit to try and photograph, congratulations on a job very well done, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
It has been a beast to build, it's not 100% finished as still a few bits to add since not worked on it for a few weeks, hopefully have it finished when I buy and build a Chieftain for a load.
I came here for the clacks and fumes
Cool vid, I just found a Ford kit in my local thrift store for 3 bucks, will try to assemble it soon
Good seeing the tridents still running
Love leyland national buses
How do you decide on the final cut for a video like this?
I generally use all the footage I record at events, very rarely do I cut sections out normally just trim clips down before editing them all in to one video in order of recording.
Beautiful wrapped trains
Great video great buses
Very nice, mate, plenty of action!
Ufos
Perfect history ad the rattle of the %10s.
Two grave stones ! One for Sunak & one for Starmer !!
Whatever they are I tell you they are damn impressive. A proper super special load !
The screen and Pleasant land
The Royal Tiger Doyen at the end still looks modern today.
Good morning sir, nothing better to wake up to than a modelling video of this beast, you have made great progress, it looks great, I look forward to the painting episode/s, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Beatiuful video, greetings 🚂👍
Very nice, great day for it!
Moinsen ihr beiden. Ich wünsche euch noch viel Spaß in Little Britain.
This was exactly the routine of starting up the school buses in Nottingham as late of 2003. Bellamy’s Coaches, Lowes Coaches and Dunn-Line all serving schools. Buses would pile in to the terminus and 5 minutes before leaving at 3.25 the cold starts began. All drivers would be lighting cigarettes, foot to the floor until that blaring air warning died. Typically it would come back on at least once so down again went the foot, drowning out the alarm again. The clag was otherworldly.
These were far better days on the East Coast Mainline
What on earth are those things?
UFOs
Belive they were reactor lids for Calder Hall/Sellafield.
Whats with revving the crap out of the cold diesels ? ... good way to stuff engines
Sounds like LNER #60009 "Union of South Africa"
There really isn't anything better than a leyland national keep up the good work everyone from John and Nora here in kidlington in oxfordshire

Yeah it was.
