this just showed up on my TH-cam playlist. I was in the Westshoremen-Bonnie Scots at that time and we never could beat the Hurcs. LOL Always loved that closure and it still gives me chills.

I was here! I was with the Flood band who preformed the National Anthem.

This guard represented the effort I did (in a way)and I am so proud of myself with them. My work on music seems to be noticed when a group of performers do so much REALLY TERRIFIC effort to represent. I was 59 years old and did this on Contra, the guard members gave me respect all year. I loved them. P.S. When I was a kid in the 70's I heard HURCSMag7 and I said then, at the age of 16, "I want to play that song on a contra" And I did at 59 years old.

Did anybody recognize part of the drum solo was from the Reilly Raiders drum and bugle Corps back in the late 50s, was written by John Dowling may he rest in peace he was a good friend of mine in Florida, he's also responsible for developing back sticking techniques use still today. Former member of the Long Island Sunrisers 1964 through 1968. Also John Dowling and myself started American Spirit drum and bugle Corps alumni organization, in Florida Tampa Bay area

The drum feature brought back memories of the Hurcs incredible drum quartet of the late 60s. I've never gotten over that. Ray Luedee was a genius. Nice update on the old Mag 7 chart.

The CT Hurricanes are absolutely amazing! Their signature song, Hang 'Em High" always gives me chills! May the CT Hurricanes live on forever! Salud per chen don!
