Great video Nasos. Two nights on a mountain top. Great views. Wow. How was the Tarra? It looks like a strong tent.
Thanks a lot! Two nights up there with those views was truly unforgettable. The Tarra is an absolute beast-rock solid and built for harsh conditions. It handled everything perfectly and gave me peace of mind throughout the trip! If I had to point out one negative, it would be the vestibule-it’s not the most spacious or comfortable.

Man. Loved your snow camp. I love climbing a mountain in winter and camping in snow. Staika is very roomy, looks good on the snow. I use my H'berg Soulo for this sort of thing.Thank you sir, great video.
Thank you so much! I love the Soulo too-it’s absolutely bombproof and perfect for solo adventures. I decided to go with the Staika this time for a bit more space and comfort, but honestly, the Soulo doesn’t have anything to envy from it. Both are fantastic tents for winter camping! Here’s to enjoying nature and hopefully being back on the mountains soon!
@@nasos_zovoilis Yes sir. On shorter hikes or car camping I'll use my H'berg Nallo, hard hikes the Akto and summits and in snow the Soulo.
@@davidunderwood9863 Hey David I would love some feedback about the Akto. I have it for 2 years and never used it. Have you test it in strong winds? Have you double pole it? The weight is very tempting and many times was really close to take it.
@@nasos_zovoilisYes sir. I've had the Akto for about 8 years, longer than the others. Love the light weight for long hard hikes. Twice I've had really bad weather, near Cradle Mountain and the other time in the notorious Southern Ranges of Tasmania. At Cradle Mtn the wind was so strong it would blow me over, but the Akto stood up tough. Normal pegs, and I didn't double pole. I do have an extra pole but I didn't take it as I didn't expect wind that strong. My mate had an MSR tent that nearly broke. He was up half the night holding up the poles. I slept soundly with ear plugs. It was then that I decided to get a Soulo, and I did 18 months later. I've taken the Soulo out in one blizzard. Once I took the Akto to a fairly windy mountain top and I attached an extra rope to the ventilation hood. There's a little tab there, and staked it out.
@@davidunderwood9863 Sounds like you've had some solid adventures with the Akto! It's impressive how it handled those extreme winds near Cradle Mountain and Tasmania's Southern Ranges. That extra guyline sounds like a smart trick - small tweaks like that can make a big difference. How did the Soulo compare in the blizzard? Seems like a great step up for tough conditions!
