Oh, Denise...I just enjoyed watching the lovely crafted video, and am once again reminded of how multi-talented you are. You left out the part where some of us first encountered you-- musical theater where you also shine with multiple talents! I was, however equally struck in the video by the philosopher side of you, and hope to pay more attention to the little things and opportunities in my ever shorteningf life that present themselves - a lovely practice I will endeavor to keep an eye out for. Thanks for that!

my name is Alan B Richmond Jr, son of the 'famous' media personality / international public relations Alan B Richmond Sr, (alan richmond company international) who has held positions such as radio / television personality (on air talk show / dj / radio station manager / radio music programmer, as well positions / affiliations with the US Department of Defense, contracts liason of some sort with stromasys a government / military contractor at the time, Pentagon Channel tv show host, Naval Post Graduate School Monterey public relations / media representative, police department public relations spokesman in hilo hawaii, hawaii press club member, monterey county sherrifs advisory committee, monterey blues festival, yousemite national park public relations administrator, napa valley wines public relations representative, and several other 'high level' connections, master mason pacific grove, etc, and i am a simple meager person who stands in such enormous shadow, having only my entire life been since high school 1980s, despite criticism and lack of support, an art student, a musician, and a surfer (the athletic kind, not the loser druggy drop out kind), and having been 'sent home from' or 'dragged back from' depending on who you ask and which side of the coin your flip lands on, in around 2013/14 from germany, frankfurt, having attended the 'prestigious' staedelschule am main art academy, after an associates degree (2 degrees worth actually, in various 2d and 3d disciplines) with honors, a museum preparator internship, and a job of picture framer for many carmel / monterey galleries as clients, but was in my opinion no longer 'welcome' for visa approval in germany after declining, or refusing, an offer to work at a schule affiliates, professor, actually, if we are going to get real 'blunt' about it, world renown art studio and practice, as well as not divorcing my then wife 'quickly enough' and thus returned to the PNW. the irony, is that upon returning, a chicago art / architecture institution funded grant for research and development, attained after already independently completing full preliminary work and exhibited at the yearly rundgang exhibition prior to said grant, as well as have what is in my opinion derived professorial / grant advisors, exhibit very similar but modified concepts at the end of the seminar year of my year long work, actually legally and contractually completed correctly by the way as stipulated by the granting foundation, ended the 'project' there, and decided not to pursue a 'book' publication or production or concept, when getting a sense and having my personal opinion be that the work, and all relevant materials, was seemingly belonging to the academic institution that i was at when formalizing it, despite having conceptualized it years preceding after learning of the technology relevant while studying at UW extension audio production program. anyway. once returned and brow beat socially and publicly, and finally divorced, and having had bridges in germany burned for me in adolescent pyromaniac style, i was homeless, on a fixed income, and alone, at which point through a broker on bainbridge island, i 'purchased' a dufour 32 foot sailboat, and from that point was obviously targeted, harassed, manipulated, violated, and exploited personally, privately, 'professionally', including much harassment and even 2 different sexual assaults (reported and forensic test completed at omc emergency) in all other aspects of life, with quite a strong presence of military/security/intelligence/law enforcement personnel, which when telling my father, was dismissed. the boat i purchased was from a laurence / lawrence (i dont know the actual spelling) m. kerr, whos profile sort of 'matches' this one. so the irony is that, i did not write an art book, had my 'art career', and personal life severely halted / effected / obstructed, etc, and moved onto a sailboat which began several years of military grade abuse, harassment, violation, while a guy with the same name as the previous boat owner, writes a book about the military and vietnam, and exhibits a reading at one of the more 'prominent' art institutions on that side of the sound, at least that is my personal opinion and impression. isnt life strange and wouldnt it be weird if there is actually a real connection to that? oh, the boat was left on the docks of 'liberty bay' more irony, and 'sold' for one dollar, while i desperate to avoid the boat related hell harassment, took a red eye flight to unknowingly (thinking i was going back to nyc to 'art' endeavors) live on and march around the streets on manhattan and nyc, before more homelessness, and ultimately living in a compact car from the year 2000, while still being what very much feels like harassed, violated, and exploited.
