How is the first book bound and what kind of transparent paper can be used for pages and covers?
I love it.
I'm going to try a junk journal like this.
Lovely to see this Jan and Chris. Many thanks for the lovely paintings you did from me. I lost your contact. Much aroha from New Zealand. Darcy

Thanks for showing it! It looks very interesting and I will surely try to make a lotus book! Greetings from Switzerland!
Love these videos
I found one of your videos on my TH-cam feed last weekend and have been watching additional videos throughout the week. It was interesting to see this video which displayed some of the books that I had the pleasure of learning about through the Artists' Books Unshelved Series. Thank you so much for sharing the inspiration from all of these artists. I have shared the link for "Flow and Spin/Artists' Books Unshelved" with friends as a introduction to view the series and then letting them explore the rest in their own time frame. Well done videos. Thank-you.
All these posts are so inspiring and important. Thank you for the continuous bar to reach for.
Let us all do art. And may we each be kind.
A M A Z I N G creativity. Thank-you for sharing these wonderful artists' books. They make your eyes/mind open wide with curiosity. What inspiration for children and adults.

So inspiring! Thanks for share ✨
Thank you Yuka, for a sensitive presentation of my project, Report US and Ellen Knudson's Safety is Not Promised. I would just like to clarify that the editing process, which was indeed huge and at times daunting, was only necessary to make each report succinct and clear but it was imperative that factual integrity be maintained and undisputed.
Thank you for this very important clarification Eileen! -Yuka
Not what I was expecting, but, now that I think of it, what WAS I expecting? Nicely done.
Excellent commentary. Thank you.

scissors??? really???
When my son in law moved to Oahu from New Mexico, he had a difficult time sleeping because our birds made so much noise compared to their birds of prey. Its been 18 years and the ruckus is just small kine now. Your book is refreshing, happy and simply wonderful as you convey local life, chickens amuck in the islands through your artistry. Mahalo Jihae and I am so thankful you have adopted the islands as your 2nd home.
What a lovely observation about creatures we tend to regard as background noise, if they even enter our conscience beyond plastic-wrapped body parts! How great to be able to observe their behavior in unexpected places. I'm so glad you made a book about that, dear Jihae!
Mind blowing. Thank you for endless inspiration
I didn't know what to expect, and now that I've watched this, I realize expecting certain things is essentially folly. From now on, as I view Bainbridge Island videos, I'll just let them happen. Thank you very much for this. Sincerely, Long Island, NY.
Thank you for sharing your observation!
As an artist and bookbinder myself, I am impressed by the creative energy You devoted to her book. Kudos! on the reductive linocut printing!
An empathetic look into powerful messages from these two women. I'm deeply enjoying my foray into Artist's Books, and am grateful that the internet and TH-cam makes that exploration possible. I'm old enough to have vivid memories of the times before these genies were let out of the bottle. The promise of the world opening to us in intricate detail has certainly come to pass, for better and for worse. These videos definitely fall into the for better category.
Thank you for your comment!
Powerful examples of potent and deep messages. Thank you for sharing them with us.
What a wonderful window into a truly marvelous art form. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Yes, this looks like it was a wonderful event. Is this something you will be having yearly?
Congratulations 🤗. I must tell you that I am such a huge fan of your art work. I am a quilter and I when I first saw your fabric it just struck such a note with me that I could not leave without it. This winter I am finally making up quilts with your fabric..so excited to see how they will turn out. Thank you for these lovely designs. Gail
Such an amazing event! Thank you for sharing for those who couldn’t be there in person to get a glimpse of the magic.
