hi utube...will this machine cute 1/2in wide pieces of 1mm anodized aluminum and keep it nice and flat instead of curled ?
Hello. Nice videos. Just purchased a G0776. All set and just got through the break in. Time to change the fluid. What have you found to be the easiest way? Being behind the gear and on a vertical surface there doesn't seem to be non messy way.
Good like
Is it possible to roll a cone or are additional attachments needed?
I appreciate the guide. Was looking to pick one of these up so thank you for sharing your experience.
You're welcome. All these years later I still use it with no issues. Thanks for stopping by. Please check out the rest of the channel!
Beautiful camera work James! Thanks for your time talking about the G0776 today--it was great to chat with you again. Glad to hear you're doing well.
Best reviewof this machine on TH-cam, thanks.
Do a video , how you clean it , looks new Thanks,
Can you share the manual?
I actually sent a copy to www.vintagemachinery.org Keith Ruckers site has it and is free. Thanks for watching! Much appreciated!
I cut 1/4" -28 brass rod with an octagonal cutting die for a tapped brass hole expecting a snug fit, but the fit is rather loose. Is this standard or the result of a cheap Chinese die?
Perhaps or end up destroying the die or the material itself.
Thanks uk
Hopefully this video still stands. Wife just broke a bit and I have to send it off. Appreciate the video and all the info.
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Live and unedited.
I wonder if you put a bolt, lock washers and a nut through the other exhaust outlet hole to more firmly secure the drill guide to the manifold.
I'm gonna make it to the bash one of these days.
I've not been since 2017. After that year it's been a drunk fest joke with toxic people whom I now avoid.
Hell yes!
Mine is so stiff, is there a brake ?
Slow and steady wins the race.
This was 5 years ago. Today you can get a 3 HP VFD in a NEMA 4 enclosure for $400. Without the enclosure you'd pay about $200. With this price difference you can buy a half dozen VFD converters for what one RPC costs. A VFD is much more versatile to boot. When you start considering 15 HP or more, then take a look at a RPC.
Never seizes to amaze me how clueless Americans can be, Snap-On Anti-Seize is copper base. Its applied to metal surfaces, especially different metals to prevent them from cold bonding. Snap-On Anti-Seize Is not a lubricant for moving parts. I imagine its all a result of your public education system which has degenerated to nothing more than a day card facility, churning out near literates with little more than a daily 100 to 200 entire word vocabulary that they either struggle to read or picture associate.
Do they charge a "Handling fee"? Had a drill with free lifetime batteries. They charged about $15 a battery, not even a year old. A year later it was like $30.
I've never had one of their battery powered drills, so I couldn't say. However, everything else was a 1 for 1 exchange. A lot has changed in the world since I made this video years ago. I would think that the Covid-19 plandemic has had a financial impact on the company just as everything else. Bottom line up front is they have always stood behind their products. Also, being their warranty department is in California the handling fee probably has something to do with that due to that states crazy "environmental jokes/laws"! Hope this helps. Have a great day and stay safe and cool.
hope the guy ended up Fired on the spot. hope you never need to do a headstock repair without another lathe at the ready.
great Job <3
Thank you, I love old ford's
Just sits on the rubber feet not bolted to anything
He said "i dont need a big one" 😂
I finally found a great video on this 3in1 question 1is it still holding up? Second American rotory 3 phase controller vs vfd my question can you have speed control or does it require belt changes 🤔 unlike a vfd which allows speed control it's been a headache in general I inherited a mill trying to get it installed home hobbyists thank you for your videos
How much did you pay for it? If you don’t mind me asking
Good stuff; thanks
Very handy if you don't have a planer and need to get a small piece of wood flat. I might try this but I'm afraid my small workshop will be full of dust.
Use a vacuum during the cutting process to reduce dust.
very helpful...
Thanks for the video. Just got one brand new unopened in its wooden shipping crate yesterday off E-bay for $7.00! Free local 20 mile pick up. . It was a full moon tool score. Thanks for all your tips
I know this video is a few years old but I bought a 40" 3 in 1 machine when I went through the machine I went crazy and made bronze oilite bushings and got rid of the steel bushings and now my machine runs silky smooth great machines once you go through them and make improvements
I bought a harbor freight 30 inch version of this for $50. I like the shear and brake but having difficulty getting the roller to work well. The top roller pushes the release cam open and starts to come out.
interesting little demo there James, thanks for showing that off. i've been eyeballing one of those as well albeit from a different outfit (Stahlwerk) for finishing off my surface grinder and grinder pedestal cyclone projects. those things probably all come out of the same factory in china as they all look identical be they from grizzly, paulimot, bernado, shop fox etc... instead of using anti-seize compound, the proper lube for this thing would a molybdenum based lube. the anti-seize has a tendency to accelerate the wear of moving parts as it's designed to cut rust on threads when a screw or bolt are turned. cheers mike
Remember, when you cut the flywheel you lower the pedal engagement point, make sure you have enough adjustment left.
Thanks!
Niceeeee!!!! I just buy it and the manual doesnt work for me, im in Colombia! Great video man, thanks so much!
2022-Thank you soooo much for making this video! I ordered the exact model and got a really good deal on mine, also. It was a little over $300. Anyway, mine came quickly, but it’s crate was smashed really badly and it had several bent handles, etc. The company agreed to send us a new one. It was stuck in China for a couple of months, but I finally got it. Anyway, I know nothing about this type of machinery. I have just started as a jewelry student, about a year ago. Could you possibly make a disassembly and reassembly video, for those of us who aren’t very mechanical? I’m dying to use mine, but I don’t want to mess it up. Also, thank you so much for your service and your family’s service. A lot of people have no idea how hard it is to be in the service, nor the sacrifices made by their family, when they are away.
The machines are really simple just keep track of where everything goes , I even made new bushings on mine to make it run even smoother. One thing I disagree on with this video is don't use anti seize for lubrication it cakes up just get some heavy lube like in a grease gun when when you grease it up and put it on anything that rubs machine will run much smoother
Wish I knew more about milling.this machine looks nice.
Cool!
hey I have one of these, do you have any way to turn it into a multiple can crusher so I don't have to keep loading one every single time?
Thanks for the video, wery useful.I purchased a similar tool today, paid 250€..It was a bargain 👍But noticed the same things, all bolts and screws were loose,so i had to adjust and tighten them them up.
Glad it was helpful
I always find it so satisfying to see a fly wheel being turned. It's like giving your vehicle a scratch for an itch it could never reach.
i have the larger one... and did not realize there was a little knob behind there. you were a huge help. A++
Glad I was able to help.
Hello I have a KO Lee surface grinder and an American Rotary Phase Converter like yours. My surface grinder has three lines in line 1 line 2 and line 3 how do I determine which line takes the three phase power?
If you call America Rotary they can assist you with this.
Good to see someone who understands that when you order something at a reasonable cost, and there might be some things missing or you don't like, if it's a good price, fix it yourself. It's a quality that is lacking in today's culture.
Good day. I have just received one of these machines but it will not start. What is the firing order? Are there any safety features that need to be engaged before it will start? Thanks for any help.
If I remember correctly it's 1342 or 1432. The drive stick must be in centered or the hydrostatic pump will try and articulate the machine. If its really old the points may need replaced or just filed. It does have a magneto on it that may need rebuild. Most If not all Wisconsin V4 stuff for the carb and ignition is available Ebay believe it or not. They even have manuals for the machine. Look up 30+4 parts. And they will pop up for steer cables tires ect. We've owned this machine since 1980 and it's a 1974 model. Great rig. Still runs today.
Are you feet threaded mine have no thread in them.
Nope. Just fixed. No issues with it and have had it since 2014.
I didn't get a manual with mine.
You can contact them for one or check their website for more information.
