Great service wonderful music
i heard this at church on melrose pastor damon woods andit doesnt carry any curse only blessings...
I have not seen anywhere what kind of organ is used here at Moorings. I would love to find out the maker, year of installation, number of ranks, etc.
Thanks so much for your question. The Nichols & Simpson organ for Moorings Presbyterian Church is the first pipe organ with which this congregation has ever worshipped. The generosity of the Sterritte family made this long-held dream a possibility. The main organ and facade houses 50 stops and 68 ranks. The Solo division, which is housed behind a smaller facade is comprised of 7 stops and 7 ranks. The case pipes in the large towers are made of flamed copper; the remainder of the case pipes are made of polished zinc. The case was designed by Frank Friemel and executed by QLF Custom Pipe Organ Components, LLC. The organ was used in worship for the first time on August 10, 2008. You can read much more about this remarkable instrument here: www.nicholsandsimpson.com/stoplists/moorings-presbyterian-church-naples-florida/
The Postlude was a Beautiful Tribute to a life ❤
A lovely performance of SINE NOMINE (For All the Saints), starting around 1:03:00. This inspiring hymn was played at the funerals of both my parents, and it is a lovely song of triumph in celebration of a life well-lived. The trumpet to conclude the final stanza was a wonderful finish. Also a beautiful postlude! I don't recognize it--what is its title?
Another wonderful organ by Nichols & Simpson. Outstanding organ builders. Nice job, Dr. Dekker.
Many thanks!
Hello. I am harry I am christian of south korea. I would like to offer intercessory prayers for the Jinju city. Although Jinju has a long history of Christianity due to the efforts of Australian missionaries, the current Christian population is very small, with an evangelization rate of less than 2%. Instead, Confucianism, Buddhism, and ancestor worship are prevalent, creating an environment where individuals who believe in Jesus alone in their households are often ostracized, ridiculed, or expelled from their families. Moreover, there is a very malevolent cult called Shincheonji (which means "new heaven and new earth") that believes in Lee Man-hee as the returned Jesus. This cult is aggressively recruiting, absorbing members from existing churches. I am requesting intercessory prayers for the souls of Jinju, a spiritual wasteland and a battleground against evil spirits like cults and ancestor worship. Additionally, I have a prayer request for my father, Mr. Kim Yoon Oh, who is like King Herod of Egypt, tormenting our family and intensely hating Christians and Christianity. He constantly mocks me, and I am desperate. I need prayer. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Thank you, sir.
I love this hymn. It captures the magnificence of God and His omnipotence.
So impressed with these young ladies and their great leader. MPC Youth 4 Life!! ✝️
Way to go Mr. Dekker!! 🎉✝️. Leading Worship AND handling Organist duties at the same time? 🎹🎤. Superstar…👑.

Thank you for your fine interpretation of this beautiful piece of music. It is full of feeling, and really moving, all the more impressive as I believe it was originally an improvisation to fill in time after a BBC Daily Service broadcast during the war!
Wonderful!
lovely
1 Thine be the glory, risen, conqu'ring Son; endless is the vict'ry Thou o’er death hast won. Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away, kept the folded grave-clothes where Thy body lay. Refrain: Thine be the glory, risen, conqu'ring Son; endless is the vict'ry Thou o’er death hast won. 2 Lo! Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb. Lovingly He greets us, scatters fear and gloom; let His church with gladness hymns of triumph sing, for the Lord now liveth; death hath lost its sting. [Refrain] 3 No more we doubt Thee, glorious Prince of life!! Life is nought without Thee; aid us in our strife; make us more than conqu'rors, through Thy deathless love; bring us safe through Jordan to Thy home above. [Refrain]
Pray for us Sir Biseshan debbarma swarna lekha jamatia and SMAI debbarma health good peace in mind holy spirit peace in life
Absolutely beautiful! ❤
The small UP church I grew up in sang this as the choir entered every Sunday. It was engraved on my memory. This performance was stellar. The organist gave it the finishing perfect touch.
Would 'UP' stand for 'Upper Peninsula', Michigan?

One of my favorite pieces of music. It is so beautiful. I wish that people were quiet when they were entering the sanctuary. I don’t understand how they can continue to speak when hearing this music. Thank you for sharing this video. ❤
❤ Excellent registration, expression and interpretation - well-played
I think that when Barber said Strings, he meant it. Nicely played, but don’t think the organ is suited.
Fucking Commoners , shut up!
Nice! Good performance. No recording can ever equal live organ.
This performance was so .. organised
Who is that ORGANIST! Absolutely wonderful! Is he a member of the AGO. Where is his Organ shoes?
To sum up all my grammar I will used one word that is Perfectionist.
Excellent fingering skills, ausgezeichnete Fingerfertigkeit, muy bien 👍
beautiful song! by other hand, sad is fact that no youth in the church.
You'll be happy to know that by that point late in the service, all of the children and many of the young parents had adjourned to Sunday School in another part of the church campus; others were away on school vacation. While our demographics reflect those of the Naples community, we're proud at Moorings to have a remarkably vibrant community of children, youth, and yound adults!
Great is our Lord and mighty in power, His understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:4
Love from Sweden! Sten. This hymn is from Sweden!
Indeed it is from Sweden! The notes in the decription contain the following: "The original text of How Great Thou Art (containing nine stanzas altogether) was written in 1886 by a Swedish pastor Carl Boberg as a response to his encounter with a violent lightning storm which was immediately followed by sunshine, a rainbow, and birds singing in the trees. Swedish congregations began to pair the text with local folk tunes which eventually were modified into the melody as we sing it today."
One of my favorite people I like to hear played on the organ.
Lovely arrangement, and the pedal theme is well articulated.
Nice arrangement of this Reformation Hymn. Thank you for your ministry of music, especially the pipe organ accompiment.
Beautiful
I'm always amazed at master organists who reach out to pull a stop or turn pages in the middle of a piece of music without missing a beat. Well played, Dr. Dekker!
