Are we nervous about playing the best team in baseball? Will Schwarber and Harper be in the lineup? Phillies won’t say…..maybe- is Turner 100% Won’t say….. We’re down Muncy, Betts and Yamamoto….. Big Key: Phillies starter is consummate career all-star super pro Zack Wheeler, 11 year 2.7 era…… Our Starter is a super talented rookie, in only his second year, who is prone to start cursing himself and have a meltdown when things start going south/ and find himself taking a cab before finishing the 3rd or 4th inning…..his current era is 6.12 after a couple of painful stinkfests- Blue Lining? In Miller’s last outing after giving up a grand slam then loading the bases, the exact spot that he looked like another implosion was imminent, he calmly blew the next three away with 2 strikeouts and a pop fly…..Could that be the day we look back and mark Miller’s turn around? I’m not going to treat this series as playoff level- we have 70 games left and we’ll see the Phillies again at Dodger Stadium in August- I think that’ll be just as crucial if not more- But I DO believe: These are the two teams that will meet in the 2024 NLCS- And away we go……

Joe Davis is the best since vin. His voice and honest analysis of the team is great. You can’t have someone be a homer with every question asked. When asked about the state of the dodgers, as someone that watches 90 percent of the games. I can say no lies were told. He’s absolutely correct.

We really shouldn't think we have bullpen and/or rotation while we mention Bazooka, Kelly, Brasier, Yoshinobu, May, Walker, and even Kersh in the same sentence. We're not sure any of them are indeed going to return, and IF they do, in what capacity. Now, let's add to that the fact that Glasnow is near to his known innings limit and that it would be the 1st playoffs for Stone. I'd say we need at least 1 starter, 1 bullpen and 1 LF. But wouldn't mind at all if in the process they end up north of those numbers

Max Muncy trade bait and let’s not talk batting average he doesn’t have one lifetime .224. I need to clone Freddie Freeman and put ball in play can bat to lefty and righty pitchers and strike out rate below 20%. Max they keep speaking OPS I guess we should get rid of batting average when talking about Max Muncy. He’s not even a catcher who gets beat everyday behind the plate. I’ll allow catchers to bat between .220 to .260. Muncy great trade bait. This year 9 homers 3 in one game and 2 in another. That’s 4 homers, plus Max was this worst rated 3rd baseman and he lost 25 lbs and worked on his defense. Can’t do that with another person love JT always a great defense player and a proven playoff player usually.

Do we have to go over the definition of insanity again….? Doing the same thing over and over (like say hanging a weak pitch) and expecting a different result… It’s so hard to watch a team alternate between being heroic one night and utterly pathetic the next- Also: so our pitcher throws a complete game shutout one night and for a week he is crowned all star, rookie of the year, Cy Young etc etc and all week long he talks about how great everything is- then, on his very next turn, he’s given a 4 run lead and can’t get through 3 innings- How about next time a player has a good game, he says, like Coby, “Job not done yet” and then shuts up, no matter how many bouquets Kirsten throws at you… I just don’t get this team- I’m utterly baffled- Is it a core weakness, a timidity? Does the manager have enough John McGraw in him? A manager that can inspire a little fear along with encouragement? It always comes down to Character-

If you care about bringing joy to millions of people and spend your day helping young men become the best versions of themselves...what a privilege. You are ridiculous with your false equivalence in comparing the home run derby to eating a hot dog. This is a vanity exhibition event with no bearing on the season where you want your $700M star player and key to the franchise’s success for the next decade to physically exhaust himself swinging maximum effort for hours while rehabbing from his second major elbow surgery. He has done the home run derby before. He does not have anything to prove. For the Dodgers organization and Dodgers fans this is a high risk zero reward scenario. Home run derby winners aren’t even an asterisk in a hall of famers career. Do you know is remembered? Championship wins.
