The price of the Mudita Kompakt includes a custom operating system, custom applications, in-house R&D, a unique philosophy, and a tailored design approach. Additionally, the E Ink screen is several times more expensive than an LCD, and we wanted the Kompakt’s screen to avoid emitting blue light, which disrupts our circadian rhythm.

Kompakt is more like a modern classic-simple by design to keep you focused, with battery life that’ll outlast scrolling habits and some mindful features like meditation timer or Ebook Reader.

It's a phone for people who want to avoid constant notifications and be more present in the moment. For many of them, getting rid of a smartphone will be more helpful because they can't, or don’t know how to, simply turn off social media whenever they want. Additionally, the E-Ink screen is gentler on the eyes than other screens and doesn’t emit blue light, which helps to maintain a healthy circadian rhythm.
