I've been working on some driving style changes. Fist lap pushing with a new set up in the car. But I induced the oversteer on exit after looking at the data.

These Miatas look like a handful at times! I was surprised when you spun after T1. Seemed like a weird spot to loose it.
T1 is easy to loose then especially on the Sport Medium tires we race them on. We are required to run 2 different tire compounds. Noone ever runs the hards.
I could see the App being helpful for a track you have never driven. Reminds me a little of a rally co-driver.
It is actually pretty good the actual AI coach they added and it helped me find issues I have been trying to figure out.
Is it adaptive? My initial impression was that it analyzed your lap data and gave live, on track instruction based on what your mistakes were. From the looks of your video, it's just canned, basic turn info that doesn't change. Is that accurate?
@steelereign there were 2 modes. 1 is turn by turn the other is more of a live type coach, but they have recently made changes, and I have not used it lately.
You weren't kidding about this race!! Brutal! I think the T1 incident was a racing incident. 3 and 4 wide is always tough. The McLaren was a morron! First, he wasn't close to the left side of the track. Second, he straight lined to corner and spun you. You gave him room and he drove straight into you. The BMW driver is likely learning. Classy move to wait for you.
That is what I was saying, the T1 incident is exactly that but also I think caused by the late green flag. The BMW driver either just learning or doesn't know the car and how to drive it. You nailed the McLaren driver that was intentional.
@@FoxRob93 I don't know if intentionally tried to spin you, but a minimum it was a boneheaded move and 100% his fault. Zero reason to complain that you didn't give him room when he clearly spun you. He is a total moron!

@@CarsandCoffeys it honestly is possibly the hardest car to drive in iRacing.
looks like he dont need push to pass. if you just dont break where you should accelerate, he would pass you in the next turn anyways, because he has that much more speed than you. because you are breaking on the accelerate zone he have no chance to avoid you. thats happens.
Car in front of me was looking like it was about to go around
Looked like he was on the brakes, but could have checked up a bit more to avoid the contact. Maybe not intentional, but it seems it was avoidable.
After watching it a few times the flashing of the lights he did that with others in the race also bumped a few people but I'm the only one who went around. Might explain his 148 irating, granted my 74x is not much better but when you get constant disconnects nothing helps.

Looks like you had pretty good pace. That incident at the beginning would be tough to anticipate. That car seemed quite slow.
I take the blame for it, but the shunt later by the Porsche I'm still not sure if it was an accident or a push to pass.

@@CarsandCoffeys brakes did come on, i did brake first because the car in front of me looked like it was going to spin. I just created a shorts of it.
Bummer on the spin. You had a great start! Seemed like a lot of people were running the track for the first time, which I'm sure led to the high incident count.
I think of Oultan Patk like Lime Rock just longer and expect hits. The spin was all me and I wouldn't have had that many incidents if I stayed up front.

It feels better then other rain models I've tried. The wet dry and dry to wet transitions are what will say if it is good or not.
@@FoxRob93 I was impressed in the dry to wet transition in our Wednesday league race. I haven't experienced wet to dry yet. I did make the mistake of trying dry tires too soon! 🤣

@FoxRob93 Yep. The rain had stopped and I tried switching from wet to dry tires. You could see the track drying a bit. Turned out it wasn't dry enough! 😅

These look like they are a handful to drive! I'll run the Falken Sports Car Challenge races in the GT4 and the LMP3 drivers are constantly locking up! Reminds me of the GTE cars, but I think it's more the fronts that lock up in the GTEs.
It is super easy to lock up. Super easy to spin them out.
